Adult classes - I specialise in pregnancy, postnatal, hatha flow, restorative, yin yoga and meditation. Simple and dynamic movements to bring about a sense of transformation in the body and mind, ending with deep rest to promote a sense of calm and wellbeing. Pregnancy yoga - suitable from 14 weeks of
pregnancy until baby arrives. A lovely flowing class, including breath work, stability work and relaxation, all designed to support the body and mind through the changes of pregnancy and prepare for labour. A great way to feel empowered through pregnancy and meet other mums to be. Postnatal yoga - my Just for mum sessions focus on slow flowing movement, core stability, posture and all important relaxation. Suitable from 8 weeks (10 weeks + c section) to several years postnatal. Restorative Yoga - after some slow movement we move into long held poses using bolsters, blankets and props to support the body into deep rest. This class is perfect for those with stress or anxiety, or that just want to relax and unwind. Yin Yoga & meditation - a slow and deeply relaxing class to build our awareness and transform the way we feel. Long held poses that target specific meridians in the body. Children’s classes - I specialise in kids yoga from preschool to teens and also family yoga sessions. Introducing yoga and mindfulness in an accessible way for each age range - classes are fun, playful and calming. Baby Yoga & baby massage - following the Birthlight philosophy, these classes are for baby and mum/caregiver - a wonderfully fun, playful interaction and time to bond. Movements that aid baby’s development plus some gentle yoga for mum. About me:
Hi I’m Laura. I am a mum to 2 small children, a yoga teacher and complementary therapist. I was first introduced to yoga in 1998 when I was a teenager. In 2008 I took my first YA 200hr teaching qualification purely out of interest to explore things further. In 2011 I gained my second 200hr YA teacher training with renowned teacher Katy Appleton (appleyoga). In 2012 I went on to complete Katy’s 95 hr YA Pregnancy and postnatal teacher training which was my favourite training to date and inspired me to specialise in this area. Over the years I have obtained many further qualifications in Baby yoga (Birthlight), Restorative yoga (Anna Ashby), Yin Yoga and meditation (Sarah Lo), Children’s yoga (rainbow kids), baby massage (To baby and beyond), Pregnancy massage (Wellmother). I am also qualified in a range of complementary therapies including a degree in complementary therapy & Shiatsu and a masters degree in International Spa management. I am passionate about teaching yoga and would love to share the benefits of yoga with you! Laura x
