🧣 Stay Well This Autumn!
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is seeing a rise in seasonal illnesses like colds and flu. Health leaders urge everyone to:
✅ Get winter vaccines: Flu & COVID - All eligible patients will receive an invitation.
👉 Please don’t contact the practice unless you believe you’ve been missed.
✅ Practice good hygiene
✅ Use NHS 111 and local pharmacies for advice
✅ Stock up on home remedies
Let’s protect ourselves and ease pressure on NHS services.

We want to make you aware of upcoming roadworks that may affect your journey to the surgery. Please ensure you allow extra time for your journey. Starting Monday, 22 September, essential structural inspections will begin on the Nicholas Street viaduct (St Martin’s Way) in Chester. These works are expected to last for approximately six weeks and will involve contraflow traffic arrangements, which are likely to cause delays, especially during peak times. Please be advised that local practices are dealing with intermittent issues with Patchs this morning. This should be resolved shortly. Thank you for your patience.

In response to recent media reports, we would like to provide the following statement:

We are sorry to hear of incidents of parking difficulties when visiting the practice.

Unfortunately, the former St. Martin’s Clinic site—including its car park—has been sold and is now operated as a private pay-and-display facility. This land was sold by NHS England, not the practice, and frustratingly we have no control over its management or enforcement.

We sympathise with all affected patients and agree this is far from ideal. We have made repeated efforts to engage with the new car park owners in order to find a reasonable solution, particularly to protect elderly and vulnerable patients, but have unfortunately been unable to secure meaningful cooperation.

In the meantime, we have made provision for disabled patients to park, and we are actively liaising with the local council to explore the possibility of a patient parking concession in the city.

We advise anyone who feels they’ve been unfairly fined to follow the appeals process and contact our reception team for a supporting letter if appropriate. We continue to raise concerns with the operators and explore ways to improve signage and communication.

Our priority remains the wellbeing of our patients.
