From karaoke queen Bex keeping our training on track, to our trained dancer, Registered Nurse and Trainer Lian, to fell-walking Star Wars superfan Mike who leads the team with a keen eye on compliance - our L&D team brings skill and personality to everything they do.

And now, we have a new addition in Charlie Achilles, who joined us on 9th June as our Training & Compliance Apprentice Administrator!

A heavy metal fan, gamer, and proud Everton supporter, Charlie plays a part in helping Bex with the day-to-day administration of the training department.

For National Wellness Month and beyond, we’re encouraging our Support Workers to prioritise their own wellbeing and to share these healthy habits with the people you support.

Simple steps like eating balanced meals, getting good sleep, moving your body, taking breaks from screens and journaling can make a real difference.

Support is always here - through The Care Workers' Charity, our Mental Health First Aiders, debriefs with our PBS Lead, and for everyone, 24/7 support lines like the Samaritans.

😊 Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) empowers our Amore Complex Care clients to achieve their personal goals, living their best lives.

Led by our experienced PBS Lead, Jasmine Wood, our service works collaboratively with each individual, their families , support network and other professionals to develop personalised PBS plans. To do this, Jasmine and our support teams build a strong relationship with the person they are supporting.

Being person-centred is all about learning our clients' likes, goals, and wishes and taking this into account when supporting behaviours of concern. Jasmine supports our service users in their daily environments to understand what might trigger distress, reducing anxiety, enabling staff to respond with confidence and compassion to their needs.

Within our Positive Behavioural Support Service, clients:

💚Enjoy a good quality of life with their support circle
💚Have their needs met in a safe and effective way
💚Are at the heart of our service

Our service is led by continuous improvement where Jasmine provides debriefs, evaluates lessons learned and identifies opportunities for our support staff to attend additional training. This means our clients are supported by an evolving service designed to work around them, not one they have to fit into. ✨

🌟 Celebrating 10 Years of Ella McGrath! 🌟

This August marks a huge milestone...10 years since Ella joined Amore Social Care as an apprentice back in 2015!

Her journey has taken her from an apprentice to trainee, then to Placement Officer, followed by Senior Placement Officer, and now into her current role as Deputy Manager, which she stepped into in January 2024.

With NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Business Administration and a Leadership & Management qualification, Ella’s growth has been nothing short of inspiring.

One highlight? Her charity skydive in December 2023, raising £1,230 for a client’s children’s secure units and residential services! 🪂💙

Our Company Director, Gareth Potsig, shared:
“In my many years of managing recruiters within health and social care, I have never met anyone as dedicated, committed, or selfless. Ella consistently supports her team and steps up wherever she’s needed. Her passion is clear in the exceptional feedback we receive from both clients and the temporary staff she works with. From making beats in the studio to headlining a live gig! 🎵

Our client ET recently performed live at Accessible Festival , wowing the crowds with her mixing table. Whether she’s singing in Manchester, producing tracks, or explaining the magic behind a melody to her support team, ET lives and breathes music.

Watching her perform was unforgettable, and we’re so proud to see her thrive doing what she loves most. 🤘
