Countess of Chester Hospital, Macmillan Support and Information Centre

Countess of Chester Hospital, Macmillan Support and Information Centre We provide support for people worried about or affected by cancer and their families, friends or carers.

When you are affected by cancer, having the right kind of information, and at the right time, is essential. The Macmillan Support and Information Centre at The Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust provides a confidential drop-in service for anyone affected by cancer. This includes people who: Require information about cancer, have a cancer diagnosis, are living beyond cancer, are living with the consequences of a cancer diagnosis, are looking to reduce the risks of cancer, are a carer/relative/friend of someone with cancer, are healthcare professionals. Facebook, email, call, drop in or make an appointment to meet staff and share your concerns. We can be found along the main corridor of the hospital, close to the main reception.

New activity for January! Create Your Own Self-Soothe Box! We will support you in filling a box full of handy bits and pieces so you have something that can help when you're struggling. Bring your own box - it can be any kind of box! Whether you want to use a shoebox, a wooden chest, or a little Tupperware so it can be portable, bring it along!

We are a non profit, budget of zero, network of young women with breast cancer providing peer support to each other. Totally volunteer established, totally run by members, facilitating and moderating our private chat groups to keep our groups as safe and relevant as we can. Helping younger women who are helping each other, who are talking, supporting, hand holding, laughing, diverting attention during tough times, celebrating good times and good stories, signposting other sources of help/support/services, sharing bad news as well as good as we know the reality of cancer, we know it has to be dealt with (although we wish it didn't), helping younger women in the UK/Ireland to find each other when facing a breast cancer diagnosis and all that that brings to our lives. Building a community, rebuilding lives.
