This World Alzheimer’s Month, we're shining a light on conversations about dementia – moments of honesty, connection and courage. 💪

Dementia will affect one in two of us, either by developing it or caring for someone we love. Yet too many people still face the challenges alone. 👤

Talking about dementia – whether with family, friends or one of our specialist Admiral Nurses – can make a world of difference.

What do you wish someone told you about dementia? Let us know in the comments below. 👇

We are finding some patients haven’t let their GP practice know they are pregnant missing out of support, information and invites to pregnancy related vaccines. If you are pregnant please let your GP practice know so we can record this on your records. It’s then on your records if you are referred to hospital for any medical issues and secondary also know you are pregnant. Thank you

When you find out you are pregnant, you can refer yourself for NHS pregnancy care so you start care with a midwife right away.

Once you sign up online, the maternity team will contact you to book your first appointment with a midwife.

You should do this by the 10th week of pregnancy, if possible, but it’s never too late to start. If you're over 10 weeks, refer yourself as soon as you can.
