Before you book any treatment, there are things you should always be told ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Not just what the results might look like, but the full picture. It sounds obvious. But it doesn't always happen.

Here's what a good practitioner should always cover before you commit to anything:
โ†’ Exactly what treatment involves - what's being used, how it works, what you'll feel and what to expect immediately after
โ†’ A realistic timeline for results - not an overpromise, not a guarantee, just an honest picture of what to expect and when
โ†’ What happens if you're not happy - a clear, transparent process for reviews and concerns that you know about upfront
โ†’ Proper aftercare guidance - specific, clear and given before you leave, not an afterthought on the way out the door

These aren't extras. They're the standard.

At Candice Aesthetics, every consultation is built around making sure you have all of this before anything is booked. You should feel informed, prepared and completely confident - not rushed, not pressured, and never left with unanswered questions.

If that's the kind of care you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.

There are a lot of aesthetics practitioners out there.

Anddd a lot of clinics that will offer you a treatment the same day you enquire.
That's not how things work here.

The difference at Candice Aesthetics isn't just the treatments offered - it's the thinking behind every single decision that gets made.

Before anything is recommended, before anything is booked, there is a proper assessment. Not a tick box exercise. A genuine conversation about what's right for you specifically.

That looks like:
โ†’ A thorough assessment of your skin, anatomy, medical history and expectations before anything is suggested
โ†’ Honest recommendations, even if that means suggesting less than you came in expecting
โ†’ A selective treatment menu built around treatments that are trusted, evidence based and genuinely beneficial long term
โ†’ Results that are considered and natural built around your face, not a trend or a template
โ†’ A promise that you will never be pressured, rushed or sold something that isn't right for you

Some people leave with a full treatment plan. Some leave with one small step. Some leave with nothing booked and just clarity about where to go next.

All of that is okay here.

If you're looking for a practitioner who takes that level of care seriously, we'd love to hear from you.

Messages like these NEVER get old ๐Ÿค

There is nothing better than a client who is so happy with their results that they don't even need their follow up. That's the goal every single time - results that speak for themselves, clients who feel genuinely good about what they see.

What stands out about both of these isn't just that the results worked. It's that these clients felt comfortable enough to reach out, felt no pressure to come back before they were ready, and left feeling like themselves - just better ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿผ

That's what this is all about.

If you've been thinking about booking a consultation, April and May still have limited availability. No pressure, no obligation - just an honest conversation about your skin and what's right for you.

๐Ÿ’‰ DM to arrange yours.

Aftercare isn't an add on. It's part of the treatment ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

This is something I feel genuinely strongly about, because I've seen what happens when it's not taken seriously. Results that could have been great, falling short because the right guidance wasn't given, or wasn't followed. And that matters to me.

Every face responds differently. Every treatment settles differently. Which is why the conversation doesn't end when you leave the clinic.

Why I'm so particular about it:
โ†’ Good results don't just happen on treatment day, they're built in the days and weeks that follow
โ†’ Every face and every dose is different, which means aftercare isn't one size fits all
โ†’ Small details in those first 48 hours can have a real impact on how results develop
โ†’ A follow up allows me to see how things have settled and make sure you're seeing the full result

What that looks like in practice:
โ†’ Clear, specific aftercare guidance before you leave
โ†’ A follow up to check in on results and make any small adjustments if needed
โ†’ An open door if anything doesn't feel right in between

The whole experience from consultation through to aftercare is what makes results last. Not just the treatment itself.

If you're looking for that level of care from start to finish, I'd love to hear from you.

Your skin barrier is your first line of defence and when it's struggling, your skin will tell you ๐Ÿซง

The barrier is what keeps moisture in and irritants out. When it becomes compromised - through stress, over exfoliation, environmental factors, seasonal changes, or simply the natural ageing process - the signs show up in ways that feel frustrating and difficult to shift no matter what you put on your skin...

Here's what a struggling skin barrier can look like:
โ†’ Tightness that lingers even after you've moisturised - not just dryness, but your skin struggling to retain what it needs
โ†’ Redness and sensitivity that feels new or has gradually worsened, a sign the barrier has become thin and reactive
โ†’ Persistent dullness that doesn't respond to your usual routine, suggesting the skin isn't functioning as it should beneath the surface
โ†’ Recurring dry patches that keep returning despite your best efforts - a sign that topical products alone aren't getting to the root of the problem

This is where skin boosters come in ๐Ÿ’ง

Rather than sitting on the surface of the skin, skin boosters work within it, delivering deep hydration, supporting the skin's natural repair processes, and gradually restoring the barrier function that keeps skin looking and feeling healthy. Results build over time and that's exactly the point.

This isn't about a quick fix - it's about giving your skin what it actually needs to function properly long term ๐Ÿซง

5 things you might not know about meโ€ฆ ๐Ÿค

1. I was born in Germany ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Moved to Wales when I was 5 and never left - so yes, I'm technically European but I'll be cheering on Wales every time, always.

2. I used to work in a factory ๐Ÿญ Long before aesthetics, you could find me in a baby wipe factory. Glamorous, I know. Safe to say I've come a long way.

3. I am obsessed with crime documentaries ๐Ÿ”ช If it involves murder I've probably watched it twice. Maybe three times. No I'm not okay about it and yes I'd like to recommend some.

4. I used to be incredibly flexible ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ Legs over my head, the full works. Now? Getting off the sofa is an achievement. We don't talk about what happened.

5. I have a shopping addiction and I'm not sorry about it ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Clothes? Always. Space for them? Never. Regrets? Absolutely zero.

Anyway - now you know a little more about the person behind the clinic. If you have any questions about your skin I'm slightly more qualified to help with those ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

Your skin in January is NOT your skin in July.
And that's not just in your head.

The changing seasons have a very real impact on your skin and understanding why makes it so much easier to look after it properly throughout the year...

๐Ÿฅถ Autumn & Winter โ†’ Cold air strips the skin of moisture โ†’ Central heating dehydrates the skin further โ†’ The barrier function weakens, leading to sensitivity and dullness โ†’ Skin can feel tight, dry and lacklustre no matter how much moisturiser you apply..

๐ŸŒž Spring & Summer โ†’ UV exposure increases โ€” the single biggest driver of premature skin ageing โ†’ Humidity can affect oiliness and congestion โ†’ SPF becomes even more non-negotiable โ†’ Skin may feel more reactive after months of winter stress

The skin is constantly adapting. Which means your approach to skin health should adapt too, not just with the products you use at home, but with how you plan treatment throughout the year.

Skin boosters are one of the ways we support the skin through seasonal change โ€” restoring hydration, strengthening the skin barrier, and improving overall skin quality from the inside out.

If your skin feels like it's struggling with the season, a consultation is a good place to start.

Aftercare is part of the treatment, NOT an afterthought.

What you do in the hours, days and weeks following a treatment has a real impact on your results and your skin health. Yet it's something that often gets a quick mention at the end of an appointment rather than the attention it deserves.

In the first 24โ€“48 hours:
โ†’ Avoid touching or pressing on the treated area
โ†’ Stay out of extreme heat: saunas, steam rooms, intense exercise
โ†’ Keep makeup minimal and skincare gentle
โ†’ Avoid alcohol where you can

In the days that follow:
โ†’ SPF is non-negotiable: sun exposure affects both results and skin health
โ†’ Keep the skin clean, calm and hydrated
โ†’ Hold off on harsh actives like strong acids or retinoids until the skin has fully settled โ†’ Give results time to develop, don't judge too early

The bigger picture matters just as much. Consistent sun protection, appropriate skincare between treatments, and open communication with your practitioner are all part of looking after your skin long term. Treatment is a moment in time. Skin health is ongoing.

At Candice Aesthetics, aftercare is something we discuss properly, before treatment ever takes place. So you know exactly what to expect and feel confident throughout the entire process.

The lower face is one of the most commonly treated areas in aesthetics but not always in the most considered way ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Volume loss, changes in skin quality, the gradual loss of definition around the jaw and chin... These are things that develop slowly over time and are often approached with a heavy hand rather than a thoughtful one. The goal should never be to dramatically alter the lower face. It should be to restore what's quietly changed.

Polynucleotides in the lower face work differently to more conventional treatments. Rather than adding volume or masking change, they work with the skin by stimulating collagen, improving tissue quality, and gradually restoring hydration and elasticity to an area that loses it earlier than most people realise.

Results aren't instant. That's not the point. The point is skin that improves steadily over time, in a way that looks and feels natural.

If the lower face is something you've been thinking about, a consultation is always where we start - assessing the area properly and discussing what a realistic, considered approach looks like for your skin specifically ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

More treatments doesn't mean better care โ˜๐Ÿผ

The aesthetics industry moves fast. New trends, new techniques, new things to offer & a lot of pressure to keep up with all of it. But building a treatment menu around what's popular has never been the approach here.

Candice Aesthetics was built on a simple principle, do fewer things, and do them exceptionally well. Every treatment on the menu is there because it's trusted, evidence supported, and genuinely beneficial for long term skin health. Not because it's having a moment.

That selectivity carries through into every consultation too. There's no treatment to push, no appointment slot to fill. Just an honest assessment of your skin, your concerns, and what will actually serve you well in the long run. Sometimes that's a course of treatment. Sometimes it's a plan that starts further down the line. Sometimes it's a conversation that ends with nothing booked at all.

That's what considered practice looks like.

If you're looking for a practitioner who takes that approach seriously, a consultation is the place to start - click the link in my bio ๐Ÿ”—

The under eye area is one of the first places to show the signs of ageing and one of the MOST misunderstood ๐Ÿ‘€

That hollow, shadowed appearance that makes you look tired regardless of how much sleep you've had? It's rarely just about tiredness. Under eye hollowing happens for a number of reasons, the gradual loss of volume and fat in the mid face, thinning of the skin over time, changes in bone structure, and a reduction in skin quality and hydration. For some, genetics play a significant role too.

It's an area that needs a considered approach. The skin here is some of the thinnest on the face, which means it responds differently to treatment and requires both precision and the right product choice.

Polynucleotides have become one of the treatments we reach for in this area, not because they offer an instant fix, but because they work with the skin. Stimulating collagen, improving hydration, gradually restoring quality to skin that has become thin and crepey over time. Results develop slowly and that's exactly the point.

If the under eye area is something you've been thinking about, a consultation is always the starting point. We assess the area properly, discuss what's realistic, and build a plan that works for your skin specifically.

Your skin doesn't change overnight, but it does change ๐Ÿ’ง

Understanding what's actually happening beneath the surface at each stage of life makes it so much easier to make informed, confident decisions about your skin. Not reactive ones. Not trend led ones. Just considered choices that work for you, long term...

In your 30s, the shifts are subtle - slower cell turnover, the early stages of collagen decline, skin that doesn't quite recover the way it used to.

In your 40s, those changes become more visible, loss of firmness, changes in texture, a face that can look tired even when you're not.

In your 50s, the focus moves to skin quality, structure and gradual restoration.
Every decade is different. Every face is different. Which is exactly why a one size fits all approach never works.

At Candice Aesthetics, we don't treat skin impulsively. We assess it, understand it, and build a plan around where you are now and where you want to be ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

If you're ready to have an honest conversation about your skin, a consultation is the place to start.
