Betrayal trauma cuts deeply because it comes from someone you trusted.

When the people who were supposed to love, protect, support, or choose you instead lie, abandon, manipulate, reject, or hurt you… it can change the way you see yourself, relationships, and the world around you.

Betrayal trauma isn’t “being too sensitive.”
It’s the pain of having your safety broken by someone you depended on.

Healing from sexual trauma is not about “getting over it.”
It’s about slowly learning that your body, your voice, and your safety matter again.

Sexual trauma can leave deep emotional, physical, and nervous system wounds. It can affect the way you see yourself, trust others, experience relationships, or even feel inside your own body.

But what happened to you was not your fault.
And your trauma does not define your worth.

💛 You deserve to feel safe
🌱 You deserve boundaries without guilt
🫶 You deserve relationships built on respect and consent

Trauma can show up as:
- hypervigilance and anxiety

Sometimes people ask themselves:
“Why do I react like this?”
“Why do I shut down?”
“Why do I people-please?”
“Why do I feel unsafe even when nothing is wrong?”

The truth is… your nervous system learned these responses to protect you 💛

Trauma responses are not character flaws.
They are survival strategies your body created during moments of stress, fear, unpredictability, or emotional pain.

🌿 FIGHT — protecting yourself through anger or control
🌿 FLIGHT — escaping, overworking, staying busy
