Visitors to the home should be allowed access tomorrow and a business open as usual sign has been requested . Please find attached a temporary road closure notice for Puddington Lane, Puddington, which is due to commence on 3rd October 2025. This is necessary for safety reasons to enable carriageway patching works, work to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

This week we have participated in ‘National Day of Art in Care Homes’. Residents have used scented pens and smelt the pen to decide which picture to colour in. We added different scents to paint and worked out what they smelled of before painting and then after we felt the difference in texture of the paints. Finally we used yarn to make different patterns with the paints.

🎄🍰 CHBO: Chapel House Bake Off! 🍫🥧

This week, Chapel House turned up the heat with our very own CHBO—and what a delicious time we had! From stirring traditions to sweet creations, our kitchen was buzzing with festive flair:

✨ A rich Christmas Cake, lovingly prepped and ready to be fed over the coming months
🍏 A rustic Apple Pie made with home-grown cooking apples
🌿 Chocolate-dipped Peppermint Creams for that perfect after-dinner treat
🍫 Gooey Chocolate Blondie bites that didn’t last long on the plate!

For those who preferred a gentler pace, we had plenty of fun with taste testing, baking-themed colouring, and a few cheeky crossword challenges.

It’s been a week of laughter, creativity, and community spirit—just the way we like it at Chapel House 💛

Our Internet is currently not available. Open reach are currently working on this apparently a new cable is required to an overhead pole in Burton Village. Car teams have mobile phones available so they can contact any relatives if there is any significant event to report. We hope the issue will be resolved very soon and we apologise for any inconvenience. This is causing families and friends.

What a truly special day at Plessington Court as we celebrated our 20th anniversary!

We were honoured to welcome families, friends, residents past and present—so many familiar faces and new smiles all gathered under one roof and mainly our garden. From heart-warming reunions with former residents families to the laughter of little ones making memories, every moment felt like a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Huge thanks to everyone who brought stories, hugs, and well wishes. Your presence made today very special —from the hog roast buffet cooked on site, the delicious cake and the live music from Theo Jay. A special shout-out, too, to Rhian and her amazing team the atmosphere in the home today was lovey (and to Keith, who never stops for a moment) for weaving every detail into a day we’ll cherish forever.

Here’s to 20 years of care, compassion, and community—and to many more milestones shared together! 💙✨
