What a truly special day at Plessington Court as we celebrated our 20th anniversary!

We were honoured to welcome families, friends, residents past and present—so many familiar faces and new smiles all gathered under one roof and mainly our garden. From heart-warming reunions with former residents families to the laughter of little ones making memories, every moment felt like a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Huge thanks to everyone who brought stories, hugs, and well wishes. Your presence made today very special —from the hog roast buffet cooked on site, the delicious cake and the live music from Theo Jay. A special shout-out, too, to Rhian and her amazing team the atmosphere in the home today was lovey (and to Keith, who never stops for a moment) for weaving every detail into a day we’ll cherish forever.

Here’s to 20 years of care, compassion, and community—and to many more milestones shared together! 💙✨

Monday morning, residents at Plessington Court have enjoyed a French Language session. We visited ‘La Boulangerie’, ‘La Fleuriste’, ‘La Bistro’ and finally, ‘La Marche’.
Residents had a great time with all the props, games and singing! We also got some homework to do!!

The rest of this week at Chapel House we have done some more travelling. We continued from France onto Italy where we explored facts about the country, had tours of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Trevi Fountain before chatting about some interesting history of the landmarks with our home made biscotti! Our final destination was China where we explored the Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China before enjoying some sweet treats.

Access to the care homes from Puddington lane from the high road is unaffected by road closure . The section of Puddington Lane that is inaccessible is in the village via Burton . We have tried to get this signage to reflect that businesses are unaffected by the road works but sadly to no avail Puddington and Burton Cllr Simon Eardley Puddington & District Parish Council

Today we Harvested spring onions at Plessington Court from our vegetable beds.
These were an experiment!
We took spring onions that were a little old and sad looking and replanted them in new soil with tlc and love and they have gone on to be healthy plants beautiful inside and out

Today in Chapel House we have begun our ‘Travel the World Week’ in France. All residents had their own passport and ticket and we have spent the day doing lots of fun, French themed activities. We started our busy day with a nice French breakfast before getting started. We learned to say Hello & Goodbye in French, caught up with the Tour de France, did virtual tours of the Eiffel Tower & Le Louvre, watched programmes about French art, baked some French biscuits and learned about the engineering and mechanical history made by the French and chatted about the facts & history of the country! At the end of the day all residents passports were stamped with the country we have visited. Later in the week we will be travelling to Italy, China and Egypt!
