💔 We’re not okay. 💔

For the first time in a long time, we’re scared.
Our intake has been CLOSED.

Our May fundraiser — Wine sale was a huge disappointment. Zero sales.

And our donations? Non-existent. Last month we brought in less than $400 total through Facebook… and over 99% of that came from our amazing recurring donors. That means virtually no new donations are coming in.

To be blunt: we can’t sustain this.
Not even for the dogs currently in our program. And thinking about what that could mean is absolutely heartbreaking.

This year, our intake is already down over 75% compared to this time last year. That means fewer lives saved, fewer dogs helped, and more heartbreak for everyone involved.

We know times are hard. The economy is rough, and everyone is stretched thin. But we’re begging — truly begging — for your help right now.

If even half of our our follows gave just $25, we could reopen our intake and have the support we need to get through the next few months. That’s one coffee. One fast food order. One small act of kindness that could literally save lives.

💔 DARYL IS ALONE NOW — HER SISTER IS GONE

Daryl is just a baby—only 9 months old.
Once part of a bonded pair.
Now, she's the only one left.

Her sister, Shi Shy, was already killed.
They came in together. They curled up together, survived the shelter chaos together. And now… Daryl waits in the kennel they shared—alone. Confused. Quiet.
She has no idea why her sister isn’t coming back.

Daryl has been in the shelter since March 27th. That’s over two months of waiting. Watching. Hoping.
But she was hidden from the public until just recently. She never even got her chance. And now she’s on the edge of death before anyone even met her.

🚨 URGENT: LEIDY IS OUT OF TIME
She’s still there. Still waiting. Still alive—but not for long.

Leidy’s deadline was May 18.
It’s after May 18.
That means any moment now… she could be gone.
Silently. Alone. In the back.
Because nobody came.

She’s just a baby—barely a year old, 57 lbs of soft eyes and sleek Doberman looks. She’s been nothing but sweet. Friendly. Easy on a leash. She greets staff with a hopeful tail and a heart wide open. She still believes someone’s coming for her.

But no one has.
Not yet.

She’s not broken. She’s not aggressive. She hasn’t done anything wrong.
She’s simply a young dog in a packed shelter, and her number came up.
Because there’s no more room. Because there’s no more time.

We don’t know her full story.
But we know this:
🐾 She walks beautifully on a leash.
🐾 She’s gentle, open-hearted, just wants to be loved.
🐾 She’s trying so hard to stay hopeful in a place that swallows hope whole.
