Meet Yasmin ……

I have been a qualified osteopath for over 11 years, a journey that has flown by, largely because I genuinely love what I do.
My passion for osteopathy began in childhood, shaped by my own experiences as a patient. With a strong sporting background that included horse riding, running, and swimming, I frequently found myself in need of osteopathic care. These early encounters not only aided my recovery but also inspired my desire to help others through similar experiences.

I enjoy treating a broad range of patients, supporting them through both acute and chronic conditions, as well as during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I find great fulfilment in providing care tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Outside of work, life is wonderfully busy with my two young children—Freddie, who is 3, and Annabelle, who is 9 months. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, whether it’s walking, visiting the beach with our sausage dog, Dennis, or enjoying days out at Chester Zoo. I’ve also recently discovered a love for reformer Pilates, which offers a welcome moment of calm and balance in my busy daily life.

Meet Lara …..

As an osteopath of four years and a sports massage therapist of over 10 years, I bring a practical, movement-focused approach to treatment. My background in sports, from gymnastics and ice skating to competitive bodybuilding, has shaped how I view performance, injury prevention, and recovery.
This experience allows me to connect with patients on a deeper level, helping them move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they love. Whether they’re recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or aiming to optimize their performance, my goal is always long-term well-being. For me, movement isn’t just a profession, it’s a way of life.

Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me hiking or paddleboarding with my boyfriend and our dog. Staying active and spending time outdoors is a big part of my life.

I also have a real passion for baking. Whether it’s experimenting with new recipes or perfecting the classics, I find baking to be a creative and calming outlet. I love sharing homemade treats with friends and family.

About us!

We felt it might be nice to give you all an insight into who we are outside of the practice room! Over the next few months each of our Osteopaths will share a little bit more about themselves and their families.

Let’s start with me! Sam - practice owner/Osteopath.

I have been an Osteopath now for over 25 years, having the privilege to work with a number of different Osteopaths over the years. Now running two practices in Chester and Oswestry, working five (plus) days a week.

I love to learn! About pretty much anything!

So as an Osteopath, I go to a large number of courses on an annual basis. I have furthered my knowledge in a variety of areas; paediatric osteopathy, nutrition, acupuncture and I and now also a qualified visceral practitioner. The joy of courses as you get to learn from a variety of other people, who bring with them their own knowledge and experience and enthusiasm. All of which I try to carry back into my practice. As many of you probably know, I get very excited about the new things I’ve learnt and I’m always eager to share any information I have!

Outside of work, I have a ridiculously busy life too! In fact I struggle to understand how I fit everything in sometimes. One of these days I’ll meet myself on the way back! But I strongly believe that we are only here for such a short period of time and we must make the most of our health, family and the world around us. So I grab it with both hands!

I’m lucky to have two beautiful daughters, aged 15 and 11. They keep me thoroughly entertained with a large amount of laughter and adventures.

I am a keen athlete, taking part in a variety of triathlons, long distance open water swimming events, long distance sportives and I’m due to try my first ever aqua bike next month! I am certainly not the fastest or the first in these events but health is a combination of fitness and happiness - my moto is to challenge myself enough to feel achievement and have a blast whilst doing it! I am the first to laugh at myself in most situations!!

In the last few years I have also learnt to ride a motorbike. I ride an R6 Yamaha and love it. I have been on track days and various skills courses. We have recently toured the west coast of Ireland on the bikes, a place I have never been to before and it was stunning. Somewhere I will return to for sure.

I am also a sucker for the soft fury animal world and my dog is with me at work most of the time. She is definitely part of the therapy session for me and my patients 😁. As a lot of patients now know she is very poorly and her back legs are failing her. It will be a very empty room when she is no longer with us and I think there will be tears all round.

So much to do and never enough time but I am so grateful for my health and the ability to do all these amazing things!

Want to know more about why processed foods are bad for us ….. read on.

Anyone who has sat in a room with me for any time will have had to hear me enthusiastically talking about food, nutrition and processed foods. My stock phrase - “if it doesn’t look like the plant it grew on or how it came from the animal then eat less of it!”

Well Dr Chris et al have done an experiment recently and this pod cast sums it up brilliantly and with good scientific grounding. Have a listen it’s only 40 mins! 🙏
