👉The recent rise in meningitis cases is a reminder of how serious this infection can be.

Meningitis can develop quickly and become life-threatening, but the good news is that many types are preventable through routine vaccinations as babies.

Please note:
👶🏻The NHS routinely offers the MenB vaccine to all babies under the age of 2.
💉The MenB vaccine is not available on the NHS for teenagers, not from GPs or through immunisations at school.
👉For teens or anyone over the age of 2, the MenB vaccine can be arranged privately through high street pharmacies or private clinics.

📱If you’re unsure whether your baby is fully vaccinated, please get in touch to check and book in for any outstanding immunisations.

If you or someone you know is struggling with grief, Marie Curie offers free telephone bereavement support.

You can have up to 6 confidential sessions with the same trained support volunteer, each lasting up to 45 minutes. It’s a safe space to talk about your feelings and receive support during a difficult time.
