We recently had a wonderful visit from the 'Smilers' ambassadors from local school Brampton infant and primary school. The 'Smilers' are a group of youngsters who pride themselves in promoting wellbeing and good mental health within their school and community.
The children wanted to do something nice for our residents and chose to read their favourite Christmas stories to them and brought with them a game of pass the parcel which they supported residents to join in with.
The children definitely brought smiles to every resident with a handmade card for everyone too.
Thank you for your lovely visit....you are all superstars and should be very proud of yourself. We would also like to thank Lisa from Brampton very much for organising this lovely visit.

We are sure you will all agree that our lovely lifestyle assistant Barbie deserves a huge round of applause for being brave and for raising the grand total of £832.50, which is for our residents at Goldwell Manor.

Yesterday Goldwell Manor hosted its first Christmas service of remembrance. This will now be an annual event. ✨
The service hosted by Rev Patrick Coleman from Chesterfield Parish church St Mary's and All saints was a reminder that the Christmas season is also a time for reflection and remembering loved one's that are sadly no longer with us. 🕯️
Residents and loved one's names whom we've sadly lost over the last 12 months, were read out and a candle placed in remembrance. Family and friends were invited to attend. 🕯️

We've been busy getting the home all festive. Thank you to all our little helpers. 🎄🤶🏼🌟🎄🤶🏼🌟🎄🤶🏼🌟

Residents enjoyed a visit to the 'Crooked Spire Tree Festival '. This year over 120 trees were on display including Goldwells very own tree 🎄
The annual event this year had just over 19,000 visitors and it's an honour to know we played a little part in this.

Our lovely Lifestyle Assistant Barbie is doing a sky dive on 30th November 2025 and all proceeds raised are going to the residents fund.
Barbie has received a generous donation today from a lady named Karen Child who has kindly donated £200.00, this was presented to Barbie by Mr Jim Brown on behalf of Karen Child.
Barbie is so grateful and thankful for the donation. Please see photos attached and thank you to everyone who has donated on the go fund me page.

There is still time to donate for Barbie who is being what we think is very brave and for a wonderful cause our lovely Residents .🙏🥰

Goldwell Manor feels very honoured to be part of the Christmas Tree Festiva again this year. So lovely to be part of the community.
The theme this year is community not just what has been built at Goldwell but being part of the Chesterfield community spirit.
