Yesterday was all about great company and even better conversations 💬💛

Our lovely resident spent some quality time chatting away with her Adopt a Grandparent buddy — sharing stories, laughs, and a few “back in my day…” moments too 😉✨

It’s these special connections that truly brighten the day and remind us how powerful a simple chat can be 🥰

Home baking at its absolute BEST! 🍰😄

The kitchen was busy, the smell was incredible and let’s just say… we had some very serious taste testers on standby! 👀🍪

From mixing to baking (and of course… sampling 😉), our residents proved that nothing beats a bit of good old home baking 💛

Chocolate may have flown, spoons may have been “borrowed” for extra tastes 😂 but the end results? Absolutely delicious! 😋

Because at Gables Residential & Care Home, baking isn’t just about the food… it’s about the fun, the laughter and those sweet little moments we share together 💛

✨🕊️ A Birthday Remembered… A Love That Never Leaves 🕊️✨

Today was not just about remembrance, but about love that continues beyond time. 💖 We didn’t just remember our lovely resident JG… we celebrated her 💖

Her loving family came together to honour her birthday — fulfilling her last wish in the most beautiful way. The room was filled with warmth, memories, smiles, and a love that could truly be felt. 🌸✨

To make the day even more special, the family shared sweets, coffee, and marshmallows with everyone — spreading kindness just like JG always did. ☕🍬🤍

Moments like these remind us… love never fades, it simply changes form. 💫

Thank you to the family for trusting us to be part of such a heartfelt tribute. She will always be a part of The Gables family. 🏡💞

Our Easter raffle prizes were up for grabs… and what a success it was! 😄
Thanks to everyone who took part, we managed to raise an amazing £72 👏💛

Not bad for a few tickets and a lot of Easter spirit! 🐰✨

A big thank you to everyone who contributed, donated and joined in — you’ve made it all possible and helped spread lots of smiles around our home 😊

Now the only question is… who’s ready for the next raffle? 👀😄

Today we had the tiniest (and cutest!) guest baker in the house 🍪👨‍🍳💛

He popped in to visit us at Gables Residential & Care Home and quickly got promoted to Head Cookie Supervisor 😄✨ From mixing to munching (very important step 😋), he made sure our residents were well taken care of!

Safe to say, the cookies were sweet… but our cute supervisor was even sweeter 🥰

(P.S. We might need to put him on payroll soon 😉)

🐉🏮 Gables Care Home was officially Chinese New Year ready! 🏮🐉

The decorations are up, the lanterns are hanging and we even have our very own lion dance… (he was very well behaved and didn’t eat the biscuits! 😂)

Our residents have been getting into the spirit — from decorating the dining room to modelling our fantastic lion mask 🦁✨ We think he looks ready to lead the parade straight to the dinner table! 🥢😋

Love is in the air at Gables Residential & Care Home 💐🥰

Today we discovered a hidden talent as one of our lovely residents showed off her artistic side with some beautiful Valentine’s flower arranging 🌹✨ There was lots of concentration, creativity and of course a little advice given to us on how flowers should be arranged!
Her masterpiece is now proudly on display and has definitely brightened everyone’s day ❤️
