New Beginnings Clinical Hypnotherapy Sally is a Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and is able to change any negative behaviours or thoughts in order to improve life.

I believe that the ability to change our lives lies within each and every one of us and by accessing our own subconscious mind and understanding why we think, feel and act as we do, we are able to make positive changes. It is amazing to see the powerful changes that hypnotherapy can bring about in us all for a wide range of issues.

Suddenly we’re supposed to have more motivation, more discipline, more willpower…
even though it’s dark, cold, and we’re already tired.

This is your reminder to pause.
Try this 30-second grounding exercise:
• Place one hand on your chest
• Take a slow breath in through your nose
• Exhale gently through your mouth
• Name 3 things you can see
• Name 2 things you can feel
• Name 1 thing you can hear
That’s it.
This simple exercise sends a signal of safety to your nervous system — and when the body feels safe, the mind can soften.
You don’t need to fix everything today.
You just need a moment of calm.

You don’t need a ‘new you’ — just a calmer nervous system
January often comes with an unspoken message:
Change yourself. Improve yourself. Do better.
But many people don’t struggle because they lack motivation or discipline.
They struggle because their nervous system has been in survival mode for too long.
When your nervous system is constantly alert:
Anxiety feels automatic
Food choices become emotional, not logical
Sleep is light or broken
Change feels exhausting instead of exciting
And no amount of willpower can override a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe.
This is where hypnotherapy can help.
Hypnotherapy works by gently guiding the mind and body into a state of deep relaxation — a state where the nervous system can finally stand down.
From here, the subconscious becomes more receptive to new patterns, beliefs, and behaviours.
Change doesn’t happen through pressure.
