Today we celebrate a massive milestone with our service user Dean. Dean has personally asked for his story to be shared in hopes it helps and encourages others. For the 1st time in 21 years Dean has remained out of hospital for a whole year! Not only has Dean coped fantastically well with his diagnosis, but in the last year Dean has abstained from substance misuse, stopped smoking & va**ng, is learning to drive & has enrolled & attended collage with a 98% attendance score. He has also made lifetime friendships & supported his peers. Deans exact words....." Im so proud of myself, I never thought I'd get to where I am, I feel I've been given a 2nd chance at life. I dont believe I'd have managed it anywhere else but at Tapton. The staff have always been supportive & made me feel wanted & worth something. Tapton feels like home to me". We are all so unbelievably proud of you Dean. Onwards & upwards 👏🏽❤️👏🏽❤️👏🏽
