Mr Jonathan Hawkins of Old Whittington has passed away at home aged 62.

Born in Whittington, Jon was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed by Chesterfield Borough Council until an accident prevented him from working.

Jon was a massive Leeds United fan but his life was his grandchildren and children.

Jon leaves his partner of 24 years - Jen, daughters- Calley and Sharney, and grandchildren- Jenson, Maison, Cienna, Rowan, Aalayah, Amiyah, and Evelyn.

Jon's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Tuesday 7th April at 10:30am, leaving Old Whittington at 10:10am.

Mrs Sharon Wright of Duckmanton has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 63.

Born in Chesterfield, Sharon was a lifelong resident of the area, living mainly in Mastin Moor and Middlecroft. She was a full time carer for her mother, June.

Sharon loved cleaning! She also enjoyed holidays in Tenerife, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon leaves her partner- Andrew, daughters - Gemma and Amy, step sons - Michael and Daniel, sons-in-law - Latham and Richard, grandchildren- Brandon, Millie, Gracie, Lidia, Darcie, Alfie, Alanah, Freya, and Alex, mum - June, sisters - Jane and Steph, and brothers- Ian and Ashley.

Sharon's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thursday 2nd April at 9:45am.

Mrs Marion Lee of Old Whittington has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 97.

Born in New Whittington, Marion was a lifelong resident of the area. She had been employed as a mental health carer.

In her spare time, Marion enjoyed walking the dogs, family holidays and dancing.

Marion was predeceased by her husband – Herbert, and son – Alan Michael. She leaves daughter – Eileen, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Marion’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thursday 9th April at 12:45pm.

Mr Andrew Thomas Peck of Chesterfield has passed away at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield aged 37.

Andrew was born in Chesterfield. With the exception of three years whilst at university in Birmingham, and four years working in Manchester, Andrew was a lifelong resident of the area.

Andrew graduated from university with a BA honours degree and latterly gained an MSc with merit from Sheffield Hallam University.

Andrew was employed as a software engineer, firstly with BNY Mellon in Manchester and later with Daisy Communications in Sheffield.

In his spare time, Andrew enjoyed travelling, computer games, walking, the gym, and socialising with his many friends.

Andrew leaves his parents - Ann and John, and brother - Christopher.

Andrew's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Monday 23rd March at 2:15pm.

Donations in Andrew's memory will be received on behalf of Brain Tumour Research.

Mr Craig Neil Smart of Chesterfield has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 46.

Born in Chesterfield, Craig was a lifelong resident of the area. He had been employed as a warehouse operative and reserve driver with Holdsworths for 12 years.

In his spare time, Craig was a fan of Chesterfield FC and Liverpool FC. He enjoyed sports, trucks, and computer/video games.

Craig leaves children – Connor, Gracie, Callum and Courtney.

Craig’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Wednesday 25th March at 3:45pm.

Mr Jason Craig Wallace of New Whittington has passed away at home aged 49.

Born in Chesterfield, Jason had lived in the area most of his life. He had been employed as a foundry worker and labourer.

In his spare time, Jason enjoyed Formula 1, music, football, gaming, cinema, and films.

Jason was predeceased by his mum - Lesley, and brother - Mark. He leaves partner - Debbie, the mother of his children- Marie, children - Callum, Bethany, Oliver, Finlay, and Isaac, brothers - Shane, Daniel, and Richard, and sister - Toni.

Jason's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 27th March at 2:15pm.

Mr John Robert Taylor of Staveley has passed away at home aged 70.

Born in Chesterfield, John was a lifelong resident of the area.

John started work as a chef at the Station (later Chesterfield) Hotel. After gaining his catering qualifications, he had a short stint at Staveley Chemicals, before spending 12 years in the army, serving in Northern Ireland, Germany, Beirut, and other places. John left the regular army in 1987 and signed on with the T.A. He continued to serve until 2011 as part of the Royal Logistics Corps. He also made a return to the Chesterfield Hotel until 2012. He moved on again to work in catering at Massarella's.

John loved visiting the coast - especially Bridlington. He was a huge Beegees fan and loved Motown. For many years, John was a committee member at Inky Social Club and would often call the bingo there.

John's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Wednesday 11th March at 9:45am.

Dr Paul Jacobs of Staveley has passed away at home aged 65.

Born in Chesterfield, Paul was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a doctor in engineering, retiring 5 years ago.

In his spare time, Paul had a keen interest in steam engines and vehicle mechanics. He was a Liberal Democrat local councillor for approximately 10 years.

Paul leaves his wife - Margarita.

Paul's funeral will take place at Staveley Methodist Church on Friday 13th March at 11:45am.

Mr Edwin Daniel James Bown of Peterborough has passed away in Peterborough aged 41.

Born in Sheffield, Edwin lived locally for 20 years. He was a customer host for the East Coast Main Line with 13 years service.

In his spare time, Edwin enjoyed travelling, socialising and supporting Sheffield Wednesday.

Edwin leaves his mother- Susan and daughter – Amelia.

Edwin’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 20th March at 12 noon.

Mr Barry Aldred of Inkersall has passed away at home aged 86.

Born in Plymouth, Barry had lived in Inkersall for 62 years - all his married life. He was employed as a foreman at Coalite.

In his spare time, Barry enjoyed gardening and lego.

Barry leaves his wife - Pam, children- David and Steph, and three grandchildren.

Barry's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Tuesday 17th March at 9:45am.
