Mr Ian Robert Hill of Chesterfield has passed away at Ashgate Hospice aged 78.

Born in Chesterfield, Ian had lived locally for 51 years. He had been employed as a coach painter and signwriter.

In his spare time, Ian enjoyed painting, woodwork, and photography.

Ian leaves his widow – Bet, daughters – Michelle and Debra, and grandchildren – Roxanne, Sam, and Bradley.

Ian’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thursday 6th November at 3:10pm.

Mrs Kanisha Brianna Furniss of Chesterfield has passed away at Weston Park Hospital aged 25.

Born in Chesterfield, Kanisha was a lifelong resident of the area and was employed as a senior care assistant.

In her spare time, Kanisha enjoyed travelling, making memories, beach holidays, and visiting restaurants – especially Miller & Carter and Harvester. Her number one priority was her daughter – Amaya.

Kanisha leaves her husband – Mason Wade Furniss, and daughter – Amaya.

Kanisha’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Monday 10th November at 1:10pm.

Mr Philip Andrew Price of Old Whittington has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 64.

Born in Inkersall, Philip was a lifelong resident of the area and was employed as a mechanic until retiring 6 years ago.

In his spare time, Philip enjoyed fishing, cars, clocks, nature and history.

Philip leaves children - Emma, Jamie, Paul, Danny, and Craig, and twelve grandchildren.

Philip’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 31st October at 9:50am.

Sadly this is so heartbreakingly true 💔 Just lately we are having more and more drivers on the roads being impatient and trying to push in on the Funeral Cortège’s in between the Hearse and the Limousines with bereaved family members in, and even on funerals with our horses too.

This is happening to the point where accidents have nearly been caused because someone just wants to cut in or to cut through.

I appreciate we drive slower, but this is someone’s final journey, and this is done out of respect.

Whether this makes you 30 seconds, one minute or two minutes late for where you need to be, think about that person who has passed and the families that are following.

A final journey is so precious 🤍

Born in Derby, Jean had lived locally for the last 43 years.

In her spare time, Jean enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross stitch, and diamond art.

Jean was predeceased by her husband - David. She leaves children- Caroline, Nicholas, Jane, and Sue, nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

Can we help to trace the final resting place of a loved one or ancestor? Would you like to discuss the options available for the disposal of cremated remains? Are you interested in the memorial schemes available at the Crematorium to commemorate a loved one? Can we help dispel any worries or myths about the Cremation process? During the Open Day we can help answer these questions, and you will get the chance to have a look behind the scenes at the workings of the Crematorium and ask any questions relating to Cremations, Burials or Funeral Services. Behind the scenes tours will start at 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm and 12:30pm and booking is essential, as group sizes are limited.

Mr Richard David Sharratt of Pilsley has passed away at Glan Clwyd Hospital, North Wales aged 60.

David was born in Warsop Vale and was employed as a fibre glass laminator.

In his spare time, David enjoyed riding and the upkeep of motorbikes - he was always tinkering with something on two wheels. He was also a member of the National Trust.

David leaves his wife - Susan Ann, children - Samantha, Kerry, and Richard, step-son - Ben, grandchildren- Alesha and Ryan, sister - Christine, and brothers - Steve and David.

Born in Poolsbrook, Janet had lived in Barrow Hill all her married life. She had been employed as a despatch clerk at Staveley Works.

In her spare time, Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her dog, Jonathan. She also enjoyed puzzles, crafting cards, and diamond art.

Janet leaves her husband- James, sons - Mark and Dean, daughter-in-law- Nikki and Kelly, grandchildren- Demi, Conor, Daryl, Paige, and Nathan, great grandchildren- Belle, Oscar, Darcie, Nevaeh, and Margot, and sisters - Joan and Julia.

Janet's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 17th October at 12:30pm.
