Last week I welcomed Emma for a massage. At 38 weeks and booked in for induction the following day, she wanted one final moment of calm and pampering before meeting her baby boy. Naturally, she was feeling a little anxious, so we focused on creating relaxation and balance. 💆‍♀💖 
 
I used a blend of essential oils, including 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 – known as a gentle uterotonic. This means it can encourage uterine contractions, supporting the body in strengthening labour and easing its progression. 🌞 
 
Emma left her session feeling relaxed and ready. The very next day, as the balloon induction was being prepared, her waters broke naturally. Just 𝟏𝟏 𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐬 later and without any other interventions, she welcomed her gorgeous baby boy...

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Ellie – owner of the beautiful 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐧 in Somercotes. 🐮 A true gem of a children’s play area and a real credit to her hard work and vision 🖀
  
Ellie is a super mum to her gorgeous 3-year-old daughter, and she’s now just days away from welcoming her little boy. In the past year alone, she’s not only grown another tiny human, but she’s also successfully opened and managed her very own business. 🌞 Honestly, what a woman!!

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Annalisa, owner of Annalisa Marie Pilates - the original reformer-Pilates studio in Chesterfield.

At 𝟒𝟎 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐀𝐬 + 𝟒 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, she messaged me feeling understandably fed-up and a touch anxious about still being pregnant. I reshuffled my diary to see her the very next afternoon 📔

Because Annalisa was well past 37 weeks, I incorporated a gentle dose of 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 in her carrier oil 🌱 - an aromatherapy favourite for mums-to-be hoping to encourage labour naturally. (Always with informed consent and only once full-term, of course.) 😇

Annalisa’s dedication to Pilates meant she arrived strong, healthy and mobile 🧘🏻‍♀. After 40 minutes of focused prenatal massage, she left calm, centred and full of positive energy—bolstered by a few encouraging stories from my own birth journey 🥰

Then the magic happened

Natasha’s journey with me began earlier this year when she won my Valentine’s Day competition. Rachel truly lives and breathes a healthy lifestyle—and her job is all about looking after other people’s health and wellbeing. But this time, it was about putting herself first 💆‍♀💖 
 
Following a lovely recommendation from a close friend, Rachel booked in for some much-needed time out. She’d been struggling with lower back and shoulder pain, and after weeks of caring for everyone else, it was time to refill her own cup.

Last week I had the pleasure of welcoming a brand-new client—the lovely Kelly—who is 36 weeks pregnant with her first baby girl 🎀  
  
As a trainee nurse, Kelly spends long days on her feet, and recently started experiencing some sciatic pain. She’s also stayed incredibly active throughout her pregnancy—right up until recently—keeping fit with sports, including golf! ⛳
