One week until collection week starts. This will be our fourth year as a drop off location and we cannot wait to see you all bring your boxes in.

We are partnered with Samaritan's Purse again this year for the operation Christmas child shoebox appeal to be your local drop off location.

Collection week is 11th -18th November but we have already started to receive donations. If you would like to take part and need an empty box to fill pop in and collect one. Alternatively you can donate individual items that we will pack into boxes during collection week.

You can never know what happens behind closed doors, and sadly statistics show that every one of us will know someone affected by domestic abuse, which is why we want to share this project with you.

You will spot Ally Law, one of our celebrants with her choir DaleDiva who have partnered with Mother's Union to help raise awareness of domestic abuse and to help support local refuges under the umbrella of the RISE UP! campaign. Empowering victims to seek help and challenging abusers to change their behavior.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, know that you're not alone. There are people who care, who will listen, and who can help. Reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or one of the many support organisations out there.

Please consider sharing this to your own family and friends.

With great sadness we announce the passing of Butch Simons. A funeral service to celebrate Butch's life will take place at 2:15pm on Friday 16th August 2024 at Mansfield & District Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations can be made in Butch's memory in aid of Ward 32 at Kings Mill Hospital.

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Krystyna Mitton.
Krystyna sadly passed away on Tuesday 23rd July 2024 at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

A funeral service to honour her life will take place at 10:30am on Friday 16th August 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Langwith Road, Shirebrook, Mansfield NG20 9RP. A committal will follow at Amber Valley Crematorium at 12noon.

Barbara Morris

It is with great sadness that we announce that Barbara June Morris (Nee Cowlishaw) of Ashover Passed away at her home on Tuesday 25th June 2024 aged 93.
Her funeral service will take place at 1pm on Tuesday 16th July 2024 at All Saints Church, 22 Church Street, Ashover, Chesterfield S45 0AB.
