🎊Happy 100th Birthday Freda!🥳

One of our wonderful, longest-standing clients Freda has turned 100 this weekend. This is absolutely no small feat, and with a lifetime of love and memories, all of us at EDS Homecare wish Freda the happiest of birthdays for number 100!

We wanted to honour her love of roses, so here is a photo of Freda posing with her bunch from us🌹

She has also received her card from the King and Queen of England! We are honoured to be a part of her journey 💕

👕A Very Successful Christmas Jumper Day at EDS Homecare, for Save the Children!👕

As you will have seen, we took part in Christmas Jumper Day, to raise money for the Save the Children charity. Thanks to the amazing donations received from our carers, management, and directorship, we smashed our donation goal and raised a whopping £291 yesterday!

We want to wish a huge thank you to everyone at EDS and our wonderful clients who took part, wore their Christmas Jumper, donated, or came to the office for our selection of nibbles! We are truly delighted that we can donate to an amazing cause 💕

We wanted to share our photos from the day with you – even Buddy, Martyna’s dog, got involved for the day 🐕 📸

Once again a huge thank you, and we hope everything raised for Save the Children this year means spreads a little Christmas magic to those less fortunate than us 🎄

🌙Overnight Support Available at EDS Homecare 🛏️

Overnight care at EDS is a service that we offer to support family members and main carers, allowing them to rest overnight while providing the comfort and support for our service users in their most vulnerable state. While most commonly used alongside palliative care, overnight care visits are an option for anyone requiring support, supervision or a watchful eye in the dark! 🌑

Running from 22:00 – 07:00, they are a long ‘sitting’ call, with a person-centred approach always maintained. The carer can either be ‘on-hand’ to support with any needs that actively crop up, or can carry out a list of duties – as quietly as possible! 💤

At EDS Homecare, we have been delivering the highest quality homecare to people in our community for over 25 years. We have been recognised by our staff for our commitment to fantastic work-life balance, providing recognition and respect to our hardworking team 🫂

Our shift patterns run between 07:00 – 14:00 (AM) and 16:00 – 22:00 (PM), with pay being reflective of scheduled visit times, mileage and travel time also paid in between all visits. Our pay is extremely competitive, starting from a minimum of £13.45 per hour! With other incentives such as vouchers, weekends away, treat boxes and many more, we support you so that you can support others.

We are a nurse-led team and a small family business, working to the highest standards of care at all times, and always ensure our employees and clients are put first. General duties as a care assistant include providing personal care, food and drink preparation, medication support, domestic duties, companionship and others!
