With singing, play, and lots of smiles, our small, inclusive group created a safe and supportive space for children of all abilities. 💜

We know the summer holidays can be a juggle for families!
For our Outdoor Summer Special, we’re making the most of the extra space and inviting you to bring a sibling along for just £5.
(please let us know if you want a sibling to attend and bring cash on the day 🤗)

As lovely as the outdoors is, it’s important to note:

- Surfaces are uneven and grassy, and it may be harder to get around than in our usual indoor space.
- We’ll have basic camp-style toilet facilities, but no disabled changing facilities on site.
- Seating areas and tuff trays will still be available, and we’ll have a small water play zone to enjoy.
- Staff will be on hand throughout to support you and your little ones.

We understand that the outdoor setting may not be suitable for all families, especially where accessibility is a concern.

We want you to feel confident in making the right decision for your child.

Please know:

You’re very welcome to speak to your physio or a member of our team if you have any questions or concerns
We’re happy to send a video or photos of the location in advance so you can assess if it feels right for your child.
Ultimately, the decision is yours - and we fully support you in choosing what’s best for your family.

We’re so excited to announce that The Nestlings Playgroup is back for the summer holidays, and booking is now open! 🎉

Over the next 6 weeks, we’re offering two fun-filled sessions, designed to support and celebrate children with additional needs in a safe, friendly, and engaging environment.⸻🏡

Session One: At The Nest - Therapy and Wellness Hub📍 Location: The Nest, Chesterfield Town Centre📅 Date: Thursday 31st July👧 Group sizes: Limited to 6 children per session
• 9.30–10.30am: For children with mobility needs
• 11.00–12.00pm: For mobile children with additional needs

Expect a lovely mix of singing, signing, messy play, sensory activities, and a chance for parents to relax with a cuppa ☕

Yesterday we had our Team Summer Social!

We were crazy and decided it would be a good idea to go for a walk in this heat 🥵 followed by a yummy brunch at The Tipi and team meeting.

We celebrated the amazingness of every single member of the team and also a recent engagement! 🍾 🥂 🥳

We discussed ideas for the future of the business and how we continue to strive to provide the best quality service to all you lovely people out there who need our support - a huge thank you to you to in trusting us to support your child ❤️🫶🏼

Wow, fantastic opportunity for families to get some free support 🫶🏼❤️

CAMHS are offering FREE workshops to parents and carers so you can learn new skills and strategies to support your children and young people.

These workshops are delivered by CAMHS clinicians and cover a variety of topics including common mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and ASD. They give parents and carers the opportunity to liaise with CAMHS clinicians and other parents and carers who have children who are experiencing similar difficulties.

These sessions are for parents/carers of young people with a learning disability and/or Autism, who live in North Derbyshire. They will take place on Microsoft Teams.
