Stanton Court Care and Nursing Home is in Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, close to Bristol and Bath, in the stunning Mendip Hills. Located in a large mature garden where residents enjoy tending their plants and taking in the countryside views. A delicious daily menu of home-cooked food is provided by the catering team. The dedicated nursing and care staff create a warm and homely atmosphere and provide the highest standards of nursing care and support.

Smiles all round.... its Pet Therapy Day 🐶🥰😃.The residents are really growing to love Maddie and Katherine coming to visit each week with Maddie now recognising the residents with lots of tail wagging!! The residents are so happy to see Maddie and always a little sad to say goodbye. This week one of our residents wanted to keep her! Thank you so much to Katherine for bringing Maddie in and becoming part of the Stanton Court family ❤️❤️❤️

Members of the gardening team had a great morning planting bedding plants into tubs and making plant labels. There was lots of fun and laughter with a welcome cup of tea and biscuits to keep their strength up. The garden has benefitted from lots more kind donations so its really starting to take shape.

We want our garden to be lovely and bright 🌈 that includes our vegetables too! Today we planted dwarf French beans 'Borlotto Firetongue' in pots to be kept inside until May. Check out the colour!! Everyone had a part to play with lots of chatting too followed by a very welcome cup of tea ☕️ and cake 🧁😃

Update for our CC in Bloom ' Vibrant Gardens'.
Today some of the garden team were out in our 'Second Time Around' garden sowing and labelling flower seeds and hanging window chimes and mobiles donated to us by family from a resident in the past. Thank you so much for your support. The items brought tremendous joy to the residents and a great sense of achievement.

If anyone else would like to donate the following items would be great 🌼 large plastic containers 🌼 compost 🌼 bedding plants from mid May 🌼 wind mobiles 🌼solar fountain 🌼 anyone who can make us an outdoor sign with our garden name on it 🌼 seeds of any kind 🌼 garden bistro tables.

Thank you to everyone for showing such an interest in the resident's new garden. Please go and see it and check in on its progress. The garden is situated on the right hand side of the house access from the car park. Big thank you to staff and families for the donations we have already received 🥰

This morning we had lots of cuddles and smiles all round 😃 with our Pet Therapy dog Maddie and her owner Katherine. Katherine brought in some doggy treats for our residents to give out, all were enthusiastically received! 🐶

This year, we promise to help our residents move, connect and bloom through gardening.
The theme this year for Country Court In Bloom is Vibrant Gardens. We have a Gardening Team plus lots of helpers and our new garden space is called 'Second Time Around'. This title was chosen for all our residents who have left gardens behind and can now have a garden of their own to share right here in Stanton Court.

💜Here at Stanton Court we celebrated Easter as one big hoppy family 🌺 Residents have had an egg-cellent Easter with a visit from the Easter bunny who brought around some sweet treats 🐰 We have also had a wonderful performance from the incredible Lucciano and his grandad Frankie 🎵 Residents enjoyed all the festivities and celebrations we have had throughout the day 🍫

Ps. Keep an eye on BGT Saturday night as Lucciano and granddad Frankie are appearing on the show 🎤
