Kings Lodge Nursing Home Enriching the lives of our residents and inspiring moments of joy is at the heart of everything we do

Kings Lodge is a purpose built Nursing Home on the south coast situated on the edge of Chichester harbour. The Home caters for 77 residents providing care to male and females over the age of 65 for long and short term stays who may require nursing care. Facilities include a high dependency unit and provisions for respite, intermediate and general nursing care as well as EMI nursing care. Our Home has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with family visits welcomed at any time. Refreshments are available for visitors at all times and arrangements can be made for residents to eat their meals with their guests in private.

✈️🌍 Kings Lodge Airlines has taken off once again… and this week we landed in the beautiful Emerald Isle! 🇮🇪💚

Our residents spread their wings and flew to Ireland just in time for a wonderful St Patrick’s Day celebration. The lounge was filled with the sound of lively Irish music and cheerful singing, bringing smiles all around 🎶✨

There were plenty of delicious refreshments and snacks to enjoy, with a cheeky pint of Guinness or a Shamrock shake here and there 🍀🍻

It was a truly heartwarming journey full of laughter, memories, and a touch of Irish magic 💚

Now the question is… where will Kings Lodge Airlines take us next week? 🌎✈️ Stay tuned!

🌍✈️ Travel Around the World – Our Latest Adventure! ✈️🌍

Once again, our residents, families, friends, and staff at Kings Lodge Nursing Home were invited to join us on a wonderful journey as part of our Travel Around the World event. This time our flight took us to the beautiful and culturally rich countries of Romania, Lithuania, and Nigeria! 🇷🇴🇱🇹🇳🇬

It was a fantastic afternoon filled with fascinating history, traditional music and songs, vibrant cultural clothing, and plenty of dancing. The room was full of smiles, laughter, and a real sense of togetherness as everyone experienced the unique traditions from each destination.

From learning about different cultures to enjoying the music and celebrating through dance, every moment was truly special. Our residents loved exploring the world from the comfort of Kings Lodge, and it was wonderful to share the experience with families, friends, and our amazing team.

On this foggy morning, we decided to bring a little sunshine indoors at Kings Lodge Nursing Home. 🌼

One of our lovely lady residents joined us for a gentle stroll into the garden, where we picked some beautiful daffodils together. Back inside, we created a bright flower arrangement for our lounge table. The room soon filled with colour, and the biggest highlight was seeing her smiling and enjoying the flowers she helped gather.

Moments like these make our sensory mornings so special – the fresh air, the scent of flowers, and the joy of creating something together.

Of course, after all the hard work was done, it was time for a little tidy up!

Travel Around the World – First Stop: India! 🇮🇳

At Kings Lodge Nursing Home, our residents recently embarked on a very special journey… without even leaving their seats!

Our lounge was transformed into an airport as residents were invited to experience the excitement of a real “flight.” Each traveller received their very own passport, had their boarding tickets stamped, and prepared for take-off as we began our adventure around the world.

Our first destination? Beautiful India! 🇮🇳

Residents were immersed in the vibrant sounds, music, culture, and colours of India. From listening to traditional music to exploring the rich cultural atmosphere, the room was filled with curiosity, smiles, and wonderful conversations. The experience sparked memories, laughter, and a sense of adventure among everyone involved.

It was truly an unforgettable journey, and this is just the beginning of our travels! 🌍

Love was truly in the air at Kings Lodge Nursing Home this Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Our lounge was filled with warmth, laughter, and plenty of romance as residents enjoyed an afternoon of beautiful, well-known love tunes performed by the wonderful Chris Buck. From classic favourites to heartfelt ballads, everyone joined in singing along, clapping, and sharing special memories that the music brought back.

It was a joyful celebration of love, friendship, and togetherness — and a reminder that love is something to cherish at every stage of life. 💕

It was a truly special time as everyone joined in prayer, shared moments of peace, and found comfort in familiar hymns and readings. Services like these offer not only spiritual support but also a wonderful sense of togetherness within our home.

We are grateful for the calm, joy, and connection that filled the room today. 💛

At Kings Lodge Nursing Home, love is always in the air — but this February, we decided to spread it a little further ❤️

As part of our Spread the Love Campaign, our wonderful residents rolled up their sleeves, tied on their aprons, and got busy baking beautiful heart-shaped cookies in the run-up to Valentine’s Day. From mixing and rolling to decorating with colourful icing and sprinkles, there were smiles (and a little flour!) everywhere!

But we didn’t stop there…

Our residents carefully packed their homemade treats into sweet little hamper baskets, each one filled with kindness, care, and a whole lot of love. These were then shared with members of our local community — a small gesture to brighten someone’s day and remind them that they’re appreciated.

Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces — both giving and receiving — was truly heart-warming. 💕

💕🎶 Love Was in the Air at Kings Lodge! 🎶💕

This week, Kings Lodge Nursing Home was transformed into a beautiful pink and red haven as our residents prepared to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The decorations were up, the smiles were glowing, and the atmosphere was filled with warmth and excitement.

To spread even more love, we hosted a special Love Songs Sing-Along — and what a wonderful time we had! 💖 From timeless classics to favourite romantic tunes, everyone joined in. There was singing, clapping, tapping, and plenty of laughter along the way.

It was truly heartwarming to see our residents come together, sharing memories through music and celebrating love in all its forms — friendship, family, and community. 🎤✨

There was definitely a lot of love in the air at Kings Lodge this week, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

✨🎶 Hopelessly Devoted to the 50s! 🎶✨

What a fabulous way to wrap up our 50s & 60s themed month here at Kings Lodge Nursing Home! 💃🕺
We treated our residents to a mini show inspired by Grease — Hopelessly Devoted to the 50s — and it was pure magic from start to finish.

The room was filled with smiles, laughter, joy, and lots of singing and swinging along to those timeless tunes 🎤🎵. Most importantly, it sparked amazing memories that had everyone reminiscing, tapping their feet, and singing their hearts out.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this moment so special — memories were made, and the joy was truly unforgettable 💖✨

🔥 Burns Night at Kings Lodge Nursing Home 🔥
What a wonderful afternoon celebrating all things Scottish! Our residents were treated to a traditional haggis and whisky tasting, while learning about Scottish clans and their beautiful tartans. 🏴
The room was filled with the sound of Scottish songs and stirring bagpipe music, bringing back memories and plenty of smiles. 😊
A truly lovely afternoon enjoyed by all – full of culture, conversation, and celebration. 💙

Step back in time with us at Kings Lodge Nursing Home 🎶✨

This month, we’re living the 50s & 60s style and loving every minute of it! From the fashion to the fun, each week our activities are inspired by this unforgettable era.

Our recent sing-along was truly magical, featuring classics from The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. 🎤☂️ Residents sang along right until the very last minute, smiling, laughing, and reminiscing as beautiful memories came flooding back.

Music has such a wonderful way of connecting hearts and sparking joy, and this session did just that. We can’t wait to see what other nostalgic moments this themed month will bring! 💃🕺💖

🎸✨ 2026 kicked off in true Rock ’n’ Roll style at Kings Lodge! ✨🎸

We were all shook up as Elvis himself paid a visit to our residents, bringing the music, the moves, and plenty of smiles along with him. 🎤🕺
From toe-tapping tunes to singalong favourites, the performance had everyone reminiscing, clapping, and enjoying every moment.

What a fantastic way to start the year—thank you, Elvis, for an unforgettable afternoon! 💙
