Time with family....

Our lives are so busy; constantly trying to fit in work, fitness, friendships, nutrition, hobbies, sleep, relationships, relatives....

Our family unit, the ones we treasure, our beautiful unit, often get left behind. It is so important to do things together. They don't have to be big things; dog walks, making dinner, trips into town, sports...
..it's about spending quality time together; being in the moment, not distracted by screens, housework or admin.

I'm fully aware of the juggle to fit family time in; between shifts, clubs and work, its not always easy. Seeing this complitaion reminds me that it is so worth it!

🤓Educational kinesiology is an expansion on the brain Gym technique and its a great way to support learning.

🧠Our brain has two hemispheres the left & right, each one controls the opposite side of the body.

😵‍💫Cross crawl helps with concentratipn, coordination, it energises & helps to move lymph.

🤔Switching is a way to support forgetfulness & confusion which occurs when signals in the brain are disrupted. This can happen when we have imbalances in the body.

✍️🏻Lazy 8s help us to integrate both sides of the brain through whats called the Corpus Collosum.

👀To support reading and taking in of information, we need to 'turn-on' our eyes. Look up, look down, look side to side, look at something far away and something close to you. Just try not to move your head.

🤯This is great if you're struggling with baby brain, exams, learning a new skill, overwhelm or brain fog!

Functional Kinesiology looks at the body as a whole and not just one area or set of symptoms.

We look at 4 realms, also known as the B.E.E.S

Biochemical - the products you use the food you eat
Emotional - we look at any stressors, upheaval or trauma
Electrical - the flow of energy or Qi through the body
Structural - any surgeries, procedures or pain

A little hi from me 👋🏻

I'd managed to lock myself out of Instagram when I got a new handset, so I've been a bit quiet on here. Its also been a while since I've introduced myself and so it feels like the right time to share a little bit about me.

🐶 Monty is my beautiful boy!
👭 Women-led businesses are powerhouses. I truly love getting to share and collaborate with so many brilliant women!
🫂 so many of my clients have said the friendships made in my classes have stood the test of time. THIS is what my vision is; creating community & support.
👩‍❤️‍👨 My kids are absolute legends; they're clever, kind and so much fun. I struggled with the early years though!
🤯 I try to stay organised but often I get overwhelmed, please feel free to give me a gentle nudge if I've forgotten something!
👣 I know some people hate feet but I think they're great!
🥂 I'm not a big drinker and often a cuppa hits the spot too, but time with my girlfriends is the always the best remedy
🍲 I try to keep my blood sugars balanced with proteins, fats & carbs, but life isn't perfect & there is always room for chocolate
🥰 My husband and I have been together almost 25 years; he gets me and is my biggest cheerleader!
🤰🏽 My pregnant mummas are rock stars; growing humans is a superpower
👩🏻‍🍼 There is no judgements at my postnatal classes, I want to scoop you all up & celebrated you all, however your birthing/feeding/parenting journey goes
👩‍🏫 I've loved being a SEN teacher but I found I couldn't balance it all. I'm currently navigating the employed & self-employed world
🏃🏻‍♀️ Running is a genuine love, I'm not always motivated but I always feel better afterwards
⚖️ I love when my clients experience kinesiology & are convinced it's witchcraft!
🏳️‍🌈 I can be a bit of a swearer, (not unnecessarily so) but I come from a place of passion and want everyone to feel safe in my classes

🤰🏽Pregnancy yoga is back! After an apt 9 months off, I am bringing back my prenatal classes but bigger and better.

The format will be in 8 week blocks; 3 throughout the year.

Each week we'll have:

⭐️A check-in. How are you really?
⭐️Breathwork to relax & for labour
⭐️Flowing, strengthening yoga
⭐️Guided meditation & relaxation
⭐️Real discussion topics; Relationships, expectations, friendships, recovery, fears
⭐️Handouts & recordings
⭐️And a COMMUNITY, others you can turn to and count on.

Welcome to my page

Hi, I am Nicki and I run YogaBellies Chichester to Worthing. I am a Mum of two lovely, little people and married to a lovely, not-so-little person! I love meeting other women and sharing in their journeys and helping them feel energised, and refreshed after yoga. Life can be hectic, and finding time to focus solely on your breath and movement is so valuable. My classes are inclusive, safe and welcoming. You can be a seasoned yogi or have never stepped on a mat, everyone is welcome!

I also run YogaBellies Kidz for children aged 18 months to 18 years. Sessions are fun & interactive and teach yoga in an exciting and engaging way. We cover relaxation and breathing techniques as well as looking at kindness, compassion and self-confidence. Children can be so overwhelmed in todays world, with social media, peer pressure, stuyding and hormones (just to name a few!). By teaching them to relax & take time for themselves, they can become better equipped to deal with the stresses that life throws at them.

YogaBellies provide fun, inclusive and nurturing yoga to women of all life stages. If you’re pregnant, a new Mumma, have tiny ones under your feet, or, if you don’t have a bump or baby but just fancy some ‘you’ time to stretch and release; then YogaBellies may be just what you’re after! ###
