This month marks a year since Dylan completed his sessions with Helen at the Haven and I wanted to message and tell you what an incredible year he has had. Helen and the Haven really gave him what he needed to move on to secondary school after a year of absence from an actual school. This year has seen the confidence and enthusiasm that Helen gave him to succeed bloom, he has taken to school with bounding aspirations to succeed and made some truly remarkable friendships, academically he has flourished and achieved a bronze in the National math championships. Last week he took part in sports day and his compassion and resilience shown through when watching him help younger ones who were nervous and standing in at the last second for team mates who found it all a bit much. He has finished his first year of secondary school a million miles ahead of where we thought he would ever be and that is hugely down to Helen and the team at the Haven.
