Last week, John Milne MP visited us to find out more about our work and the vital role Chestnut Tree House plays in our community.

We are grateful to him for taking the time to listen to our concerns about the future of children’s hospice care. We should and could be doing more, but instead, we cannot meet the rising demand for our services due to funding challenges.

We are grateful to all the MPs who are helping us work towards a more certain future for children’s hospice care. Yesterday’s announcement that the Government is extending its £26m grant for children’s hospices across England, for three years is a step in the right direction.
