Waterside Chiropractic

Waterside Chiropractic Waterside Chiropractic is based in Birdham, near Chichester in West Sussex and treats both people and animals.

Whatever the age of the person or animal, their chosen life style, living environment, activity or sport; the general and physical health, well-being, quality of life, posture and sporting performance of the person or animal can normally benefit or be improved upon with the aid of chiropractic treatment. Chiropractors believe that the correct functioning of the nervous system is paramount for a healthy body. Chiropractic is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of biomechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on physical and general health. Chiropractic treatment is a method of improving skeletal alignment so that the nervous system can work as efficiently as possible, increasing mobility of the joints and associated musculature and providing relief from pain and discomfort. Chiropractors use manual techniques to manipulate specific joints and muscles that may be causing back, neck, pelvic and musculoskeletal problems. There are a number of different chiropractic techniques that are practiced universally; Waterside Chiropractic offers the McTimoney Chiropractic technique together with soft tissue work which is recognised for being a relatively gentle, precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care for both humans and animals.

🐾 POEM OF A DOG
I'm the one who's always waiting for you.
Your car has a special sound that I have imprinted on my senses, I can recognize it in a thousand.
Your steps have a magic bell.
Your voice is music to my ears.
If I see your joy, it makes me happy!.
Your scent is the best.
Your presence moves my senses.
Your waking up wakes me up
I contemplate you sleeping and for me you are my God, I am happy watching your sleep.
Your look is a ray of light.
Your hands upon me, hold the lightness of peace and the sublime display of infinite love.
When you leave, I feel a huge void in my heart.
I keep waiting for you again and again.
I am the one who will wait for you all your life today, tomorrow and forever:
I am your dog.

More than 30 veterinary surgeon have signed a letter in the current issue of 'Veterinary Record' drawing attention to the health risks involved with routine neutering of dogs, a procedure that until recently was considered fairly harmless. Now we know better. It turns out that neutering a healthy dog can increase the risk of him or her developing cancer, allergies, thyroid disease, arthritis, ligament disease and a long list of other serious health problems.

To all my lovely friends, patients and clients. I can hardly believe that I am writing a post like this again so soon.

Many of you will have met my gorgeous Grolsch. Grolsch had a massive seizure in the early hours of yesterday morning and an MRI yesterday afternoon showed that he had a brain tumour. We said our goodbyes whilst he was under the anaesthetic.

RIP my beautiful boy, my intense, fun-loving Grolschki. Didn’t quite make it to his 6th birthday, 01.10.17 - 11.09.23. Can’t believe that it was also exactly 2 months to the day that my Dad crossed over the rainbow bridge. Run free my darling boy, hope Merlot was waiting for you. Ian, Amstel and I are devastated that you were taken so soon 💔🐾

Thank you to Debby and Lisa at Chichester Vets and all the staff Lumbry Park Specialist Vets who were so kind and caring.

Post to let all my patients and clients know that I will be taking my annual holiday from Monday 4th September to Monday 25th September inclusive. I have continued working following the recent passing of my Dad in July and I now really do need some time off to recharge, so have decided to take an extension to my normal September break.

If you are an existing patient or client and find yourself or your animal in urgent need whilst I’m on holiday, please do contact me. There will be a temporary voicemail message, leave me a message or text me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I will not be taking on any new patients now before the last week in September as it will not be possible to manage the likely follow up appointments required from these over the next few weeks. There are only a few appointments still left available during the next few weeks for existing patients and clients; if you would like to book in, please do contact me asap.

I would also like to just thank everyone for the many lovely messages, cards and flowers that I have received since my last post 🙏Your kindness and support have helped enormously in what has been a very difficult time in my life 💔

11/07/2023

To all my lovely friends, patients and clients. Some of you will know that the amazing man that I was lucky enough to have as my Dad has been unwell of late. Sadly, he passed away last night.
I’m not going to cancel any appointments as at the moment I feel that I need something else to be able to focus on, although I will not be taking any more appointments in the diary before the w/c Monday 24th July. I would just ask that you please bear with me if I seem a little out of sorts.
RIP Dad. My rock, so loved and much missed. He has a plate that my Gran gave him which reads, ‘May you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you’re dead’. Hope you made it Dad, love you so much 💔
