Helen Gibbs - The Compassionate Crone

Helen Gibbs - The Compassionate Crone I offer support and guidance for sensitive, anxious, lost, overwhelmed people, possibly going through a big life transition. I follow energy and intuition.

I’m Helen, a deeply intuitive, heart-led woman who’s learned that real healing starts from within. I feel things deeply - energy, emotions, people, nature - and I use that sensitivity to gently guide others back to who they truly are. My own journey through narcissistic abuse, emotional pain, burnout, and breast cancer changed everything. It taught me how powerful it is when we stop fighting ourse

lves and start listening; to our body, our emotions, and that quiet inner voice that always knows the way. Now I support others who are ready to release what’s been holding them back and find a deeper sense of peace, confidence, and self-worth. I’m calm, compassionate, honest and sometimes gently challenging when it’s needed, but always with kindness and care. I don’t work in a set way or follow strict methods. Every session is different because every person is different. At heart, I’m an alchemist, helping you turn pain into wisdom, fear into empowerment, and self-doubt into love and trust.

For so many years, I didn’t speak up. For so many years, I kept silent, quiet. I played the good girl.

I did what I needed to do to get by, to get through, and sometimes to survive. The fear of speaking out - the fear of the consequences of speaking out - was greater than tolerating the behaviour at that time.

Whatever that behaviour was, whatever situation I was in, it didn’t matter how trapped and scared I felt, it felt even scarier to ask for help.

And I can see how I became part of that pattern of silence. The problem that so many women experience - being on the receiving end of unacceptable words and behaviour that keeps them stuck, that keeps them silenced, that keeps them living in fear.

Fear that stops them coming into their own true power. Fear that stops them living a life of authenticity. Fear that stops them fully utilising their skills and their strength. And I find that incredibly sad.
I know I’m not alone in this. I may be one of the few speaking out right now… but I am not alone. I have reached a point where something in me said, quite simply, no more.

Ladies, it is time to rise. It is time to come into your power and it is time for you to own your power. Even if your voice shakes, and even if you’re not quite there yet.

And I am not talking about power as control, manipulation, or corruption - the kind we see playing out in the world right now. I’m talking about your own personal power. Your sovereignty, in your voice, your choices, your life.

A simple place to start is this. Notice where you can say no in your life. Something small. Something that feels safe. Taking on less than you normally would. Spending more time for yourself, with yourself, allowing you to find what works for you. What you enjoy, what makes you feel good, that isn’t dependent on anyone else.

If this resonates then please accept my virtual 🤗

A major life transition can be an incredibly painful and uncomfortable experience. It can rip you open in places you didn’t know existed, and take you to depths you didn’t know you had.

If you are going through a major life transition, know that it will end, even though it feels endless. You are still here. You are stronger than you realise, and more resourceful than you may believe, and you are not alone.

So how do you get through it? Some suggestions – please feel free to add any you may have used yourself.

Walk – get out into nature and gently exercise amongst the trees.

Cry – yes, honestly. We are built to cry, we have tear ducts for a reason. Crying is a release, and it helps us heal at a deep level.

Take up a meditation practice – just follow a guided meditation on YouTube, you don’t need to complicate it.

Write – invaluable for getting out what is in your head. It helps give some clarity and can help with sleep.

Be gentle with yourself – it can be too easy to beat yourself up, trying to get on with life in a way that you may have done previously – it won’t work.

Surrender and trust – yes, I know, bloody difficult, especially when it is a more prolonged transition and you are feeling utterly lost.

Talk – to a friend, family, a therapist. Talking helps us put things into perspective. When we are stuck in our head, very often nothing makes sense.

Just keep going, one step at a time, it will change 💚

If you feel like you’ve changed so many times you’re not quite sure who you are anymore - you’re not alone.

A lot of the people I work with are in that space - where old versions of themselves no longer fit, but the new version hasn’t fully settled yet. It can feel confusing, unsettling, and at times like you’re getting it wrong.

You’re not.

Often, it’s part of a deeper process of healing and coming back to yourself in a more honest way and this is the space I hold for people. Gently working through what’s underneath, helping you feel more grounded, clearer, and more like yourself again.

I’ve written a bit more about this here - may may not feel so alone..

How are women really feeling right now?

Not what we say out loud. Not the “I’m fine” or “just busy”… but underneath all that. Tired? Overwhelmed? Carrying a lot and not really talking about it?

Because there’s so much talk about healing, doing the work, creating the life you want, but what about when you’re just… tired?

Not just physically, but emotionally. When you’ve been holding a lot for a long time. Being the one people turn to. Being the strong one. Just getting on with it because that’s what you do.

And the truth is, women can be so hard on themselves. Especially those of us who feel deeply, who notice everything, who carry more than we probably should.

You can have all these ideas, plans, things you want to create or move forward with, and then find yourself doing none of them.

And that can really get into your head. You start wondering… what if I lose it? What if I don’t get back to it? What if I’ve somehow lost myself along the way?

But when you actually stop and look at it properly, often it’s not that you’re doing nothing. It’s that you’re dealing with a lot behind the scenes. Supporting others, handling things, being there when people need you.

I know for me, I’ve been there for people through some really tough times… even when I haven’t always had that same level of support back when I’ve needed it.

And that can be hard to admit.

When it’s lots of little things building up, it can suddenly feel really heavy. So maybe it’s not about pushing harder or trying to force yourself back into doing.

Maybe it’s just about recognising where you are right now and giving yourself a bit more understanding - not completely losing yourself in everyone else.

If this resonates, you’re not the only one.

Fear of things like needles, medical appointments, or specific situations can feel overwhelming - even if you think it doesn’t make sense.

That’s because phobias don’t live in your thoughts… they live in your body.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) works by calming your nervous system and gently releasing the emotional response behind the fear - so you’re not just coping, you’re actually shifting it. The result is being able to have the required blood test, operation, test, interview etc with ease and confidence.

You don’t have to keep avoiding or pushing through. There is another way.

If this resonates, message me or book a session to start easing that fear for good. Call 07503 461838 www.helengibbs.co.uk

If you’re feeling sensitive, anxious, overwhelmed or a bit lost right now - especially if you’re going through a big life transition - you’re not alone.

A lot of people look like they’re coping on the outside, but inside they feel tired, emotionally full, or like they’re carrying too much and can’t switch off.

This is often emotional overwhelm. It builds slowly over time and is usually the nervous system saying it’s had enough of holding everything together for too long. You might notice feeling on edge, easily overwhelmed, emotionally sensitive, or unable to fully relax even when life is quiet.

This isn’t about being weak or “too much”. It’s about your system needing space to settle. In the moment, simple things can help: slow breathing, grounding through your senses, or gentle movement to release tension.

I offer support and guidance for sensitive, anxious, overwhelmed people, often those going through change, uncertainty, or feeling disconnected from themselves.

My work is online and gently focused on helping you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed, and more like you again.

If this speaks to you, you can message or email me at helengibbs@hotmail.co.uk

JUST BECASUE YOU'RE COPING DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE OK. You might look like you’re coping on the outside… but inside it’s a different story.

Anxiety that won’t settle.
Overthinking everything.
Emotionally overwhelmed or just flat.
Snappy, tired, or not sleeping properly.
Going round in circles trying to “work it out”.

At some point, it gets exhausting. My 90-minute online reset sessions are for times like this.

This is for you if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or not quite yourself and need space to pause and reset.

Not more talking for the sake of it.
Not being analysed.
Not being told what to do.

Just space to slow things down, understand what’s really going on, and gently shift what your mind and body have been holding.

By the end, people often feel:
calmer
clearer
more grounded
and more like themselves again

This is all done online, so you can stay in your own space - no travelling, no added pressure.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional stress, this can really help.

Message me if you want more info or to book.
