In Serving Hands

It’s not in grand and distant deeds
That love is always shown,
But in the simple, caring acts
That make His goodness known.

A cup of tea prepared with care,
A chair pulled close, just right,
A listening ear, a gentle word
That brings a bit of light.

A blanket placed around tired knees,
A door held open wide,
The countless ways we serve each day
With God’s love as our guide.

For Christ has shown the truest path—
To serve, to give, to be
A quiet blessing in this world,
For all we hear and see.

And in these small and faithful acts,
Though humble they may seem,
We walk the road He set for us
And live His gracious dream.

So may our hands be kind and ready,
Our hearts both strong and true,
To serve in love and simple grace
In all we say and do.

The Quiet Gifts

It’s not the grand and shining things
That carry us each day,
But small and quiet blessings
God places in our way.

A morning light through curtains,
A cup of tea held warm,
A kindly hand beside us
Through calm or passing storm.

A hymn remembered softly,
A verse we’ve learned by heart,
A whispered prayer at evening
When day and night depart.

The laughter shared in hallways,
A smile we understand,
The peace of simply knowing
We’re safely in His hand.

For life is made of moments
So simple, yet so true—
The gentle, loving mercies
God faithfully renews.

And though the years may change us,
And time may move along,
His quiet gifts remain with us—
