Creating harmonic order and alignment from within.....
So what have we been up to at Pear Tree Studios this Autumn?
Over the years of teaching Pilates I experienced an insistent internal voice, stating it’s all very well developing a strong and aligned body, but what about the rest of us? How do we stay strong, aligned and resilient within the emotional, mental and spiritual bodies?
We have normalised the level of noise from the outside world, our phones and the news help keep us distracted, fragmented and divided both inside and outside the body. We have pulled ourselves so far from the rhythms of the Earth that we’ve forgotten we are made of the Earth.
During a session nature becomes our teacher as we align to the wisdom held within the cycle of a plant/tree, the cycles of the seasons or elements. The aim of the sessions are to create coherence and harmony within the body, by developing our capacity to deeply listen to the still voice within us.
The breathwork/movement and sound sessions follow the principles of aligning our life-force from seed to root, from stem to flower. There are breathing patterns for the pelvis or the root of us. A breathing pattern for our spine or stem of us, and a breathing pattern for the heart and head - our flowers and how we bloom into the world.
Sessions are gentle and suitable for everyone, young and old. I run them on the first and third Fridays of the month. 🙏💚🌷
