☀️ Staying Cool, Staying Safe 💜

Hot weather can be dangerous—especially for older adults and people living with long-term health conditions.

Here are our top tips to help you and your loved ones stay safe this summer:
✅ Stay out of the heat: Avoid going out between 11am–3pm. If you must, stick to the shade, wear light clothing, and use sunscreen.
✅ Cool down: Drink cold fluids, avoid caffeine and alcohol, and try a cool shower or damp cloth on your skin.
✅ Keep your home cool: Close windows and curtains during the day, and open them at night. Use fans if it’s under 35°C.
✅ Check in: If you or someone you care for is vulnerable, make sure they’re staying hydrated and cool.
