👨‍🍳 It’s International Chefs’ Day! 👩‍🍳

Today, we’re celebrating chefs all over the world, and especially the incredible culinary stars in our Aria Care homes.

Every day, our chefs create delicious seasonal dishes with warmth, care, and creativity. Their dedication doesn’t just nourish, it brings joy, comfort, and a real sense of home to our residents. We can’t thank them enough for the passion and excellence they bring to every meal.

Today, on World Food Day, we celebrate the food we serve, but also our chefs who craft seasonal dishes that ensure each meal looks appealing, and is healthy and satisfying. Aria Care's catering teams don't just cook food, they create meals that are nutritious, and reminiscent of home cooking. They plan meticulously, catering to everyone's tastes and dietary needs, using fresh, quality ingredients.

We believe that mealtimes are about more than food; they’re moments of joy, creativity, and connection, that bring our communities to life.

Exciting things are happening at Tall Trees Care Home in Shipton-under-Wychwood, near Chipping Norton!

Our 15 stunningly refurbished bedrooms are ready to welcome new residents! We think you'll agree, they're comfortable, elegant, and have that special Aria Care touch.

We’re celebrating with an open event this Saturday, 10am - 4pm, complete with champagne, canapés and the chance to see the new rooms for yourself.

Another fantastic visit from Zoolab Animal Encounters. Each week they bring different animals for us to meet. This week we met a Giant Land Snail called Speedy, a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach called Turbo, an Asian Forest Scorpian called Sunshine, a Royal Python called Cleo, a Stick Insect called Twiggy and a White Tree Frog called Spring.
Our residents were very brave to get up close to all these animals. Some staff were hiding 🤭

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we're taking a moment to reflect on how we can continue to build a culture of care that supports not just our residents, but also the incredible teams who care for them every day.

One of this year’s themes is about prioritising mental health in the workplace, something we are deeply committed to across all our homes.

As the care sector continues to evolve, we’re introducing new ways to support mental health and emotional wellbeing, with support available to all colleagues, whenever it’s needed.

Whether it’s a personal challenge or a work-related worry, we offer access to a confidential counselling service 24/7 — by phone or online — offering a safe space to talk, day or night.

This World Mental Health Day, and every day, we stand together to support, uplift and care for one another.

Huge congratulations to Sharon Streeter from Belmont House in Sutton for winning the Sustainability Award at the 2025 Love Laundry Awards!

Sharon has been recognised for her incredible commitment to greener laundry practices, supporting infection control and promoting resident wellbeing. Her efforts are helping us build a more sustainable future in care.

Two of our incredible hospitality team members have been nationally recognised for their passion, innovation, and dedication to making mealtimes truly special for our residents

- Janos Csavas, Head Chef at Oaken Holt Estate, has won the Bev Puxley Award for his outstanding work in dementia-friendly dining and person-centred care catering.

It’s Hospitality Apprenticeship Week, and we’re celebrating the amazing people behind the food!

This year’s theme, “Powered by People,” is a perfect reminder that it’s the skills, stories and passion of individuals that truly shape the hospitality industry, and that’s especially in care.

At Aria Care, our hospitality teams do so much more than prepare meals; they create comfort, bring joy, and support wellbeing in every one of our homes. And our apprentices are a big part of that!

Whether they’re just starting out or training to become future head chefs, we’re proud to support them every step of the way, with hands-on experience, ongoing training, and real career opportunities.

Residents had a lovely time at John Cole's park last week we enjoyed some delicious coffee and cake.
We had so much fun on the first trip we went out for a second day 🙂

After a very busy few days we decided a nice relaxing outing to a beautiful sunflower farm was just what we needed.
Everyone got to choose and cut a sunflower to bring home with them.
We was trying to enjoy what was left of summer 🌞🏝️

Everyone enjoyed a trip out to Chippenham museum.
It was quite fascinating to see how many things were made in Chippenham and how it has changed over the years 🥹

Our summer fete was a huge hit this year.🌞

Everyone enjoyed a fantastic BBQ, bake sale, lucky dip and stalls.
As well as a amazing raffle with some very generous donations as prizes.

The sun was definitely on our side and the live entertainment from mini concerts was fantastic as always. 🎵 🎶

In total we raised a staggering £1000 🎉👏👏

With proceeds shared between care rights UK, The care workers charity and Marie curie Cancer Care.
It was definitely a summer fete to remember.
