The Fairways care home is situated in The Fairways Retirement Village in Chippenham.

We provide residential and residential dementia care for 60 people, in modern yet homely en suite accommodation.

Miniature Horses And Country Music Tribute Stars Of The Show As Chippenham Home Raises Over £300 From Autumn Fayre

The residents enjoyed spending time both Bryan and Vino, the horses from Happy Hooves Therapy Horses
A Chippenham home welcomed in the autumn season by hosting a fayre, from which they managed to raise over £300.
MHA The Fairways opened its doors to the community and managed to attract more than 60 people to the home.
The home arranged for some live entertainment in the form of a Dolly Parton tribute act as well as having two special guests Bryan and Vino, two miniature horses from Happy Hooves Therapy Horses.
There were also various stalls including a honey and sewing stall as well as a raffle and tombola.
The total amount raised was £304.00 which will go towards the homes amenities fund, from which trips and activities will be arranged.
MHA The Fairways provides residential and residential dementia care for 60 residents.
Tracey Curd, administration manager said:
“Our residents really enjoyed the autumn fayre.
“Having the entertainer singing some classic country music mixed with Bryan and Vino visiting was definitely the highlight.
“We had a good turnout, and it was nice to see so many people enjoying themselves.
“Family members of residents were very happy with how it was arranged and gave us some lovely feedback.
“It was a real team effort, and I want to thank everyone for their support on the day.
“The weather was good which always helps, and we are very proud of the amount we managed to raise
“The funds will go straight into our amenities fund, and we are planning some trips for our residents

What an amazing afternoon we have had at our Autumn Fayre. Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support us from the residents' families, our volunteers, the fantastic Happy Hooves for bringing along Bryan and Vino, also the brilliant Dolly and friends tribute singer.. The amount made will be posted Monday.

Our lovely ladies at The Fairways spent a delightful afternoon together enjoying a afternoon tea, there was lots of laughter and chatter all around the table. 💐✨

It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon – good company, and plenty of smiles. 🥰

🍂🎨 Autumn Fayre Preparations at The Fairways 🎨🍂

Our residents have been busy this week getting creative and making lots of lovely craft items ready for their stall at our Autumn Fayre this Saturday! 🧵✂️✨

From handmade aprons, lavender bags to seasonal decorations, there will be plenty of unique treasures to browse – all made with care (and lots of fun along the way!).

We can’t wait to welcome everyone on Saturday and show off the wonderful creations from our talented residents. 💛

✨🐾 Exciting Visitors at The Fairways! 🐾✨

We had some very special guests join us recently – a pair of adorable alpacas! 🦙💛

Our residents loved meeting, and stroking them. The alpacas brought so many smiles, laughter, and cuddles, making it a truly memorable day. It was wonderful to see the joy on everyone’s faces as they spent time with these gentle animals.

Thank you to our furry friends (and their handlers!) for brightening up our day at The Fairways. 🌸

Our talented residents have been busy this week, getting crafty and creating beautiful handmade cards for our upcoming Autumn Fayre!🎨✂️🖌️

With colourful flowers designs, each card has been lovingly designed and made with care – and we can’t wait for you to see (and buy!) them. All proceeds will go towards supporting activities and events for our wonderful residents. 💛

Kath at 101

At one hundred and one, her eyes still gleam,
She greets the world through a glowing screen.
Miles may stretch and oceans divide,
But a click on Teams brings her family inside.

Her hands, once busy with work and care,
Now dance on keys with a patient flair.
A smile appears, her heart takes flight,
As familiar faces fill her sight.

Grandchildren wave from a far-off shore,
Great-grands giggle, then ask for more—

Of songs their mother’s mother had sung.
