I cannot tell you how welcome you are at Singing Mamas. First time mama, experienced mama, expectant mama, grandmama, nervous mama, excited mama - whoever you are and whatever you’re feeling you are welcome 🧔

Our Wednesday group has mamas from Malmesbury, Cricklade, Tetbury and beyond and our Friday group has mamas from Chippenham, Corsham, Swindon and more. We come together, sing and share homemade cake. This is not a baby group, this is a women’s group where your wellbeing is the greatest priority. Come and find your village with us, you won’t regret it!

I first went to Singing Mamas when he was 3 months old. Now he’s 23 months and this is our life 🤩

Walking the talk this morning - I am one tired mama and this morning I absolutely felt the benefit of these amazing singing circles as well as having the joy of leading one 🧔

I want to take every tired mama by the hand and lead her into the circle because I know that it helps. If you’re that tired mama, come and sing with us x

This evening I cracked out my latest delivery from (an excellent Christmas present from my husband!) and it looked so Singing Mamas it had to be worth a photo! 🧔

This morning’s group at was absolutely magical. We sang some calm, quiet, reflective songs and the atmosphere was alive with the medicine of the songs. I’m often guilty of moving onto the next song too quickly but today we enjoyed the vibrations of the songs in silence for a moment before moving on. As we moved through the session we sang a couple of more upbeat songs before finishing and having some cake. And then the magic continued. We connected on a much deeper level than the usual chat, almost like we know each other now, we’ve shared the medicine of the songs and we needed to voice some really difficult thoughts and feelings. Each of us opened up and shared some of our vulnerability with these women we have met through song, these mothers whose experiences of motherhood are so different but also so similar. I felt seen, I felt heard, and I saw the women who trusted me with their thoughts and feelings.

It’s been an emotional day for me having opened up in a different way with my group this morning, so this evening’s chocolate indulgence felt just right - and to open the box to find orange! I love the tricks the universe plays sometimes.

Singing Mamas is so special, and holding space for the women who share it with me is truly humbling. I feel very much like I am never off-duty, never truly free to stop and be except when I am in the circle of women who come to sing with me. Thank you ladies, for being, seeing and sharing.

How can I convince you to come and try Singing Mamas? Do I talk to you about finding your tribe during pregnancy? Do I talk about how special it is to sing just for you while you share that experience with your babe in arms? Do I describe how wonderful it is to see toddlers growing up with song in their lives? Do I tell you that women of different generations come together and leave feeling lighter and more joyful? Do I tell you that this group singing will heal you in ways you could never expect?

Come and sing with us this term. Take some time for you, come as you are and allow yourself time to refill your cup.

We’re in Charlton near Malmesbury on Wednesday mornings and Kington St Michael near Chippenham on Friday mornings and you are so welcome 🧔

Sending love to all my mamas at this halfway point in the holidays. Definitely felt I’d earned this candle today (although most days would qualify!). 22 month old H has just entered the ā€œwhyā€ phase which almost 5 year old R has never left and I definitely don’t have the energy 🤣

I hope the weekend is treating you kindly, can’t wait to sing with you again soon! 😘🧔

There’s soooo much evidence for the increase in happy hormones when you sing, and my basic knowledge of the science of birth is that happy hormones are seriously key. So singing with a lovely group of mamas in those last weeks just makes sense! I would love to welcome you to my groups as you prepare for your delivery 🤰

I can remember the anxiety around starting maternity leave, wanting to make the most of every day but knowing I had zero control over what my body was doing. I ended up on a plan to be induced and was absolutely desperate not to be, and the whole thing became quite stressful.

The thought of singing and having a break from being stuck in my head makes me wish Singing Mamas had been around when I was in the mega pregga phase. To be able to spend time with other mums while I was waiting for my turn would have been so special.

If you’re pregnant and wanting to give singing a chance to brighten your last weeks of waiting I’d love for you to join us!
