Today is Emergency Services Day.

We are delighted to announce that Southborough in Surbiton has been crowned this year’s Aria in Bloom champion. 🏆

The team and residents have transformed their outdoor space into something truly special - a garden that has something for everyone. From vibrant flowerbeds bursting with colour, to home-grown vegetables nurtured from seed, and planting for bees and butterflies, every corner has been carefully designed to bring joy and connection.

It’s not just about the plants, but the people. The garden has become a space for events, laughter, and shared moments - whether enjoying it on the lawn, from the balcony, or through the windows.

👏 Congratulations to everyone at Southborough for creating a space that celebrates nature, community, and accessibility for all.

👏 We’d also like to celebrate our runners-up, Kingsclear in Camberley and Southlands in Bexhill-on-Sea, whose gardens were full of creativity and inspiration.

Fish & Chips Friday - Booking Now - 19th Sept!

It was wonderful to see some friendly faces from our local community enjoying some delicious food, all freshly prepared by our talented chef, and each others company!

Mill House Charity Fundraiser!

Despite a rather wet and windy afternoon, our residents, relatives, and the Chipping Campden community came together in support of our charity fundraiser!

From raffles and tombolas to ponies and Pimm’s, everyone’s generosity helped make this a fete to remember.

Chipping Campden, we are overwhelmed by your kindness in supporting our wonderful home, and we’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to visit us on Saturday.

A heartfelt thank you to Paul!

This week, we’ve been celebrating our incredible chef Paul Georghiou, who is retiring after an amazing 14 years.

From creating delicious meals for our residents to bringing joy to our team, Paul has been a very important part of our family. His dedication, creativity, and kindness leave a lasting legacy.

We wish him every happiness in his well-deserved retirement – he will be very much missed!

Celebrating World Photography Day at Aria Care.

Earlier this year, we launched a photography competition across our homes to capture the heartfelt moments of joy, love, and care that make our communities so special.

The winning photograph, taken at Albany Lodge, was chosen by our Media Producer, Marcus Gilbert. Today, Marcus visited the home to present the team with their prize – a brand-new Canon camera and a photography workshop – so they can continue to capture and share the many special moments that happen at Albany Lodge every day.

Home Manager Sarah shared:

"We’re so excited to have won the grand prize. This camera will help us showcase even more of the heartfelt moments in our home, and we’re grateful to Aria for giving us this opportunity. Our photos will now look more beautiful than ever when we share them with our community."

In celebration of International Beer Day, we were delighted to welcome Sally from Hook Norton Brewery to Mill House, where she delivered an absolutely fantastic beer tasting experience!

This immersive session gave everyone the chance to sample a variety of traditional beers, each with its own unique flavour, story, and brewing method.

We learned all about the brewing process, the history of Hook Norton Brewery, and even picked up a few fun beer facts along the way.

Of course, no tasting would be complete without some great conversation and lots of laughter, and this event certainly delivered just that!

It was a fantastic way to bring people together, spark memories, and enjoy a true taste of the Cotswolds.

A huge thank you to Hook Norton Brewery for such a brilliant afternoon.

At Mill House Care Home, we’re proud to support our local community and create welcoming spaces where people can connect, share stories, and enjoy time together.

That’s why we’re inviting those aged 55 and over to join us for our monthly Fish & Chips Friday – a lovely opportunity to make new friends and enjoy a classic lunch in warm and friendly surroundings, taking place on the last Friday of the month.

Join us for a delicious fish and chips lunch, great conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere – all part of our commitment to bringing people together and building stronger community connections.

We were delighted to welcome Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, MP for the North Cotswolds, to Mill House Care Home recently for a very special visit.

Sir Geoffrey spent time chatting with residents over light refreshments, sharing updates on local developments and listening to the thoughts and experiences of those who live with us.

From discussing what’s happening in the North Cotswolds to reminiscing about times past, it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon for everyone involved.

At Mill House, we believe that staying connected to the community is vital for well-being, involving our residents in conversations about the world around them not only keeps them informed but also empowers them to remain active and valued members of society.

A warm Mill House welcome to Nicola Copper, health and exercise practitioner from Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust

Earlier this week, our Community Relations Manager, Paul, was delighted to welcome Nicky to Mill House for an exciting conversation about how we can support wellbeing through movement and strength-building, helping those living with us and everyone in our community stay active, confident, and independent through their ‘Strong & Steady’ programme.

We’ve got some exciting plans in the works, and we’re really looking forward to working with Nicky and her colleagues to bring valuable support to both Mill House and the wider community.
