Where every dish is made with care - and served with a smile. 💙

At Aria Care, we know food is so much more than fuel. It’s a source of comfort, connection, and a true sense of home.

👨‍🍳 Our chefs work hand-in-hand with care teams to create meals that are not only nutritious, but also deeply personal - shaped by each resident’s tastes, cultural background, and dietary needs.

From familiar favourites to new flavours, every dish is an opportunity to bring people together - with hospitality from the heart.

Because dining at Aria isn’t just about what’s on the plate - it’s about how it makes you feel.

Dementia care should never be one-size-fits-all.

We believe that dementia doesn’t define a person and our approach to care reflects that.

Our specialist dementia communities are calm, familiar, and purpose-built to support comfort, independence and connection. From memory walls to sensory gardens, every detail is designed to help people feel safe, understood, and truly valued.

Whether it’s a quiet moment of recognition or a shared smile over afternoon tea, the little things matter most.

Earlier this week, our Community Relations Manager Paul, had the pleasure of meeting the fantastic team at Cotswold Boatmobility.

This inspiring group helps people with mobility concerns, mental health needs, and learning disabilities, as well as older members of the community, enjoy time on the water. Their inclusive approach welcomes families, children, and young people too—ensuring everyone has the chance to experience the fun and freedom of boating.

Paul was lucky enough to be invited onboard ‘Symphony’ for a trip along the canal on their specially adapted pontoon boat, witnessing firsthand the joy their work brings to the community.

Cotswold Boatmobility is supported by dedicated volunteers, who generously donate their time and skills to keep boat trips free, but a small donation is always appreciated.

A huge thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and the incredible work you do to make waterways accessible for all. Everyone at Mill House hopes you enjoy the delicious goodies and we hope to see you again soon along with some of our residents. ❤️

Teddy bears’ picnic at Mill House 🧸

This week, Mill House Care Home had the absolute joy of welcoming the reception and year one children from St Catharine’s primary school for a very special teddy bears’ picnic!

With teddies in tow and big smiles all around, our residents and their young guests shared a morning full of laughter, story time and building friendships.

Moments like these remind us just how powerful intergenerational friendships can be, bridging the gap between generations and creating very special memories.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff and children of St Catharine’s, we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! ❤️

Leading with heart: Sue Smart featured in The Carer magazine! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to see Sue Smart, Home Manager at Abbeycrest Nursing Home in Sonning Common, featured recently in The Carer for her outstanding leadership and dedication to care. 💙

With over 40 years of nursing experience, Sue has brought warmth, compassion, and transformation to Abbeycrest - taking the home from just 4 residents to full occupancy of 70, all without the use of agency staff. Her commitment to creating a supportive and connected team culture is truly inspiring.

From daily garden walks and resident check-ins to celebrating passions (like helping a resident publish her first book of paintings!), Sue brings heart and purpose to every moment. ✨

She says it best:
“To get a smile when you see a resident or family member is priceless. It means everything to me to see them happy.”

👏 Congratulations, Sue - we’re so proud of you and all that you do!

We’re proud to announce that we’ve chosen Sona as our new end-to-end workforce management partner, supporting our digital transformation journey across all Aria Care homes. 💻

With nearly 4,000 colleagues across our care communities, Sona will help us bring together Scheduling, HR, Payroll and Employee Engagement into one seamless, easy-to-use platform - designed specifically for the care sector.

This move will reduce admin, improve data accuracy, and empower our teams with the tools they need - all in one place.

💬 As Russ Auty, Aria Care’s Project Manager, shared:

“Sona is by far the smoothest HR platform I’ve ever come across… This is exactly what modern WFM technology should look like – it just makes everyone’s life easier.”

From AI-powered insights to lightning-fast development and automation, we’re confident this partnership will help us deliver even better outcomes for our colleagues - and ultimately, for the people we care for.

Joy Across Generations at Denham Manor!

Our home was buzzing with laughter and love as we welcomed Year 3 and 4 pupils from Denham E-Act Academy for a truly heartwarming day of intergenerational fun.

As part of the Happiness Programme by Social-Ability, residents and students enjoyed sensory-based games like balloon popping, fishing, and even a few rounds of air hockey (a resident favourite!).

The day was filled with smiles, shared stories, and meaningful connection - proving that joy knows no age. Music rounded off the celebrations with a singalong of timeless classics, sparking cherished memories for many. 🎶

A huge thank you to the brilliant team at Social-Ability for bringing this wonderful experience to life and supporting the wellbeing of our residents through innovative, inclusive technology.

Connecting with our community at Mill House Care Home. ❤️

Today, our Community Relations Manager Paul and Wellbeing Lead Louise had the pleasure of meeting Jo and Immy from Gelato Chipping Campden – a fantastic local business we're excited to support!

We had a great time chatting about ways we can collaborate, including an exciting idea for our residents to create their very own gelato recipe – we can’t wait to see (and taste!) what everyone comes up with.

As a result of our meeting, Jo and Immy very kindly joined us at Mill House this afternoon, donating their time with a special Wimbledon-themed gelato surprise for our residents and team – a very kind act of support which we are incredibly grateful for.

Thank you so much Jo & Immy - we can’t wait to work with you on some very exciting plans!

100 years of stories, service, and a little bit of rum! 🥃🎂

We were honoured to celebrate a remarkable milestone at Knowle Park Nursing Home as resident Peter turned 100!

Born in 1925, Peter’s life has been full of rich experiences - from his early engineering apprenticeship to his proud service in the Royal Navy. He’s a man of quick wit, deep conversations, and a true love for chess and family life.

With two daughters, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, Peter is surrounded by love and laughter. His secret to a long life? “Just enjoy life as it is - and drink a bit of rum!”

Thank you for sharing your warmth, wisdom, and humour with all of us at Aria Care.

Aria Care is proud to be working with Circom – a leader in sustainable waste management – to ensure that 100% of our general waste, recycling, glass and food waste now goes to zero landfill across the business. 🌍

Recently, members of our team, including James Clear and Rowen Campbell, visited Circom’s cutting-edge facilities – home to the largest mattress recycling operation in Europe. Witnessing the incredible processes first-hand, from recycling to innovative reuse (yes, even the boardroom table!), really brought home the impact of this partnership.

A huge thank you to the Circom team for the warm welcome and inspiring tour. We're excited about what we can achieve together on our journey toward greater sustainability. 💚

Driving Strategy from the Heart: Our Home Managers Workshop 🌟

This week we came together for our quarterly home managers workshop focusing on what truly matters: delivering our strategy while keeping quality and the person at the centre of everything we do.

Using our blend of compassion and professionalism, we worked through the decisions and actions needed to continue to deliver outstanding care.

Tapping into the knowledge and experience across the whole group, we explored how we can continue to grow and innovate—without ever losing sight of the individuals who live and work in our homes.

We spent time looking at our own personality preferences, as part of our ongoing commitment to developing and supporting effective and compassionate leaders.

It was inspiring to see the passion, insight, and dedication in the room, as well as a strong sense of team ethic.

Wishing the very best of luck to Janos Csavas from Wytham House, who is representing Aria Care in the Midlands regional final of the NACC Care Chef of the Year competition today! 🏆

Janos has shown incredible creativity, skill and passion in his cooking, and today he’ll be showcasing his talents on a regional stage alongside some of the best in the industry. This prestigious competition celebrates excellence in care catering – and we’re so proud to have Janos flying the flag for Aria Care. 💙

Today’s heat follows the South East heat last week, where we had not one but two talented chefs competing – Simon Boyden from Knowle Park in Cranleigh, and Jonny Hollis from Riverside in Ware. We are so proud of all these chefs and everything they do for our residents.

Everyone at Wytham House and across the Aria family is cheering you on. You've already achieved something special – now go and make it unforgettable! 👏

Community Connections at Mill House Care Home. 💙

Last week, we were pleased to host a community event at Mill House Care Home in partnership with Cotswold District Council. It was a great opportunity to highlight the wide range of support and services available across our local area.

It was fantastic to see people of all ages engaging with what’s on offer in Chipping Campden, and to welcome everyone into our home to learn more about the resources in their community.

We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success, including:

Bloodhound Education
Citizens Advice Stroud and Cotswold
One Gloucestershire – Falls Prevention
Chipping Campden Youth Club
Cotswold Friends
Community in Action Gloucester

Bringing people together like this helps build stronger connections and ensures residents know what’s available to them — whether it’s advice, activities, or support services. We’re proud to be part of such a collaborative and active community.

It was a true Aria family moment at Mill House yesterday as we came together to celebrate Gary Kent’s retirement.

Gary, our incredible Regional Support Manager, has been with Aria since day one, and many of us have had the pleasure of working with him even before that. Over the years, he’s supported numerous homes with dedication, kindness, and a steady hand - finishing his Aria journey at Mill House.

Residents, colleagues, and family turned out to wish him well, and Caroline Roberts, CEO, and Ruth Yates, MD, personally thanked him for his outstanding service and contribution.

Thank you, Gary, for everything you’ve done - your legacy will always be part of Aria. 💙

Our Community Relations Manager, Paul, recently had the pleasure of visiting Karen & the team at North Cotswold Foodbank at Chipping Campden Baptist Church to drop off some donations on behalf of Mill House Care Home.

Paul was given a guided tour of the site and learned all about the incredible work the food bank does to support people within the local community.

It was inspiring to see the impact they’re making, providing essential help to those in need.

We’re also proud to be part of this cause, as Mill House now has its very own donation station located in reception, where all contributions are welcomed.

Every donation makes a difference, and we’re excited to continue supporting such a vital service in our community.

Thank you to everyone involved in keeping the food bank running and making a real difference! 💙
