That brings our mini series to an end… But do not fear, we’ll continue sharing key facts, tips and tricks and of course, keto-friendly recipes!

Following the ketogenic diet for drug-resistant epilepsy requires careful monitoring of both the diet and its effects. This helps your dietitian and ketogenic team track progress and make any necessary adjustments!

Most of this monitoring can be done at home, though occasional doctor visits may be needed for check-ups. 🏥

While the monitoring may seem like a lot, tracking can be as simple as jotting things down or doing a quick blood test.

❤️ This Valentine’s Day, we celebrate a different kind of love — the love for those living with drug-resistant epilepsy and the dedication it takes to adhere to your ketogenic diet therapy…

Love is in the small victories: a steady day, a clear moment, a meal carefully prepared, a body cared for, a mind that keeps going. Love is in the support of families, friends, carers, and the incredible community walking this path together.

To everyone navigating seizures, counting macros, planning meals, and showing up with strength even on the hardest days — you are seen, you are valued, and you are never alone.

Today, we honour resilience. We honour hope. And above all, we honour YOU. 💜

Let’s go back to basics for a minute. Understanding the ketogenic diet for drug-resistant epilepsy can be a bit confusing, but it doesn’t need to be!

Simply put, it changes your body’s metabolism, the way your body gets energy. Normally, we use carbohydrates, like bread, pasta etc. for fuel. But on the ketogenic diet, your body uses fat for energy instead.

Got other questions? Drop them below! No such thing as a silly question, that’s what we’re here for.
