In a world full of so much negative noise, opinions, shame and stigma, raise your voice to educate, advocate, empower and lift one another up.

We are at the cusp of making real change in the UK (and beyond) to re-establish women’s health and what that means for us all.

We don’t have to accept what we have inherited within healthcare.

We don’t have to accept shame and stigma when using correct anatomical words.

We need equity, equality and to do better for the next generations…

Thankful for all the women standing up and speaking out and taking up their space to bring out change for the better!
It’s doesn’t matter who it is making waves- we all raise together!

Urinary incontinence is not an old lady problem. All women, whether having children or not can experience varing degrees of leakage.

Why?

Pelvic floor weakness
Overactive bladder
Prolapse of bladder
Prolapse of uterus
Constipation
Menopausal changes
Structural changes to urinary system
Nerve changes to bladder
Giving birth & pregnancy - including C-section
Anxiety

Women are often dismissed for seeking medical help for these issues.

Hello to all my new followers! Let me introduce myself. I’m Dr Sarah Jenkins, a Portfolio medical doctor- meaning I follow my various interests in several medical specialties. My main area of expertise is Aesthetics and I am a member of The British College of Aesthetic Medicine. I also am a Founding member of Royal Society of Medicine -Aesthetic Branch (FRSM) and have affiliations to other medical organisations which I attend to continue my lifelong learning. I worked as a GP registrar for 4 years where I realised the shocking state of women’s health around perimenopause. So I went on a deep learning journey to discover how I can understand women’s health needs better and offer patients the treatment they really need. New insight. New ways of supporting one another without competition or compromise for values. A new female leadership model- not simply replacing men with women and calling it progress. It’s horrendous growing up without the protection of parents. You feel alone and vulnerable and need to quickly adapt to keep yourself safe. Father’s day is not always a celebration…. For me it is a harsh reminder that life hurts and I rely on myself…. You feel unwanted, rejected, unlovable…. You wonder why your Dad didn’t want you?! You wonder what was so wrong with you that your Dad didn’t stay in touch….however I refuse to remain a victim!! I choose me!! ❤️
