🌿 Pharmacy First – Helping You Get the Right Care, Faster! 🌿

Every year, millions of us visit our GP with minor health problems that can be easily resolved without a doctor's appointment.

It is estimated that every year, 50 million visits to the GP are made for minor ailments such as coughs and colds, mild eczema, and athlete's foot. By visiting your pharmacy instead, you could save yourself time and trouble.

If you’re planning to contact the surgery about any of the conditions listed below, please note that you will be referred to the pharmacy of your choice for advice and treatment — without compromising your care. 💊

Earache
Sore Throat
Impetigo
Infected Insect Bites
Shingles
UTI
Skin Conditions

This service allows you to get help quickly and conveniently, while also saving valuable GP appointments for those who really need them.

Your local pharmacist is highly trained and can help with a wide range of minor illnesses and conditions — often providing treatment on the same day!

Thank you for helping us make the best use of NHS services. ❤️

Important Update: Community Phlebotomy Service Changes
We have just been informed that the Community Phlebotomy Service previously delivered within GP surgeries will no longer be provided. This decision has been made by the ICB (Integrated Care Board), and the service will cease from Monday, 15th September.

As a result:

All blood test appointments scheduled between 16th September and the end of October have unfortunately been cancelled.
At this time, we do not have capacity to rebook these appointments until our new nurse joins the practice.
If your blood test has been requested as urgent, please take your blood form directly to:

The Healthport
Fulwood, Preston, PR2 8DW

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this transition. We will keep you updated as the situation evolves.
