Hello all - We’re popping a little post out to bring some awareness to the Access Card, which may be of benefit to some patients & clients.

For those of you who are not aware, the Access Card is a card that serves as recognised proof of individual requirements, eliminating the need for repeated explanation of any disabilities, hidden or otherwise, at various different venues.

On each Access Card there is space to display up to nine symbols used to highlight barriers you may face. These include - Standing & Queuing, Level Access, < 50 M Distance, Urgent Toilet Needs, Assistance Dogs, Essential Companions, Visual Information, Auditable Information & Miscellaneous.

The Access Card helps to supports individual needs whilst encouraging venues & service providers to be proactive in building a more inclusive environment.
