And this level of exhaustion is on another level which seems hard to explain but you are "teacher tired” because you are running constant vigilance all day long.

Your nervous system is scanning, monitoring, anticipating and responding even when nothing obvious is happening.

No wonder you feel exhausted.

“Teachers - do you recognise this cycle?

Most teachers don’t suddenly burn out.

It usually happens through a cycle.

And many teachers don’t realise they’re in it until they’re already exhausted.

Here’s what it often looks like:

Stage 1 - Passion
You care deeply about your pupils and want to make a difference.

Stage 2 - Constant vigilance
Your brain is monitoring behaviour, learning, safety, emotions and classroom dynamics all day long.

Teaching requires your nervous system to stay on high alert.

Stage 3 - Chronic stress
You start noticing things like:

• struggling to switch off after school
• replaying conversations in your mind
• feeling overstimulated by noise and demands
• Sunday evening anxiety

Your nervous system never really gets a chance to reset.

Stage 4 - Exhaustion
You’re still showing up every day for your pupils…

…but inside you feel drained and overwhelmed.

Stage 5 - Doubt
You start wondering:

"Maybe I can't do this anymore."

Many teachers reach this stage and think the problem is them.

But often the real issue is this:

Your nervous system has been under pressure for too long.

The good news?

The nervous system can learn how to regulate again.

Teachers often tell me things like:

“I’m exhausted even after the weekend.”
“My brain never switches off.”
“I feel on edge all the time.”
“I snap at home but I’m fine at school.”
“I can’t relax even when I try.”

Many teachers assume this means they’re just stressed… or that they need to be better at coping.

But often something deeper is happening.

Your nervous system may be stuck in survival mode.

The school environment can involve constant pressure on your system:

• high levels of responsibility
• constant noise and stimulation
• behaviour management
• time pressure
• being “on” all day
• little time to regulate or reset

Over time, the nervous system can stay in fight, flight or freeze.

That can look like:

• feeling constantly on edge
• overthinking everything
• emotional exhaustion
• brain fog
• shutting down after work
• struggling to switch off

This can feel like a personal failure but actually it’s a very human nervous system response to sustained pressure.

And the good news is that the nervous system can learn to feel safe again.

When teachers understand what’s happening in their bodies, things start to make a lot more sense and change becomes possible.

I’m really excited to be starting some wellbeing work with a local dental practice supporting both their staff and their clients.

More and more workplaces are recognising something important…

When people feel supported, regulated and well, they do their best work.

It made me reflect on teachers.

Teachers care deeply about the wellbeing of the children in their classrooms every single day.
But who is supporting the wellbeing of the teachers?

Imagine if schools invested in staff wellbeing in the same way more workplaces are starting to.

Not just a poster in the staff room but real support that helps teachers regulate stress, feel calmer and reconnect with why they came into teaching in the first place.

Because when teachers feel supported, the whole school community benefits.

TEACHERS - is staff wellbeing something your school genuinely supports, or is it mostly talked about rather than truly prioritised?

My daughter used to get severe travel sickness… Belief Coding changed it in one session.

My 12-year-old daughter has struggled with travel sickness for years. Even short car journeys could be difficult, so when her school trip to London came up (7 hours on a coach there and back!) we knew it was going to be a challenge.

So she a Belief Coding session with me.

We did the session and then a couple of practice runs… and something shifted.

She went on the trip, had the most amazing time in London, felt completely fine on the coach and came home full of stories and excitement instead of nausea.

Moments like this remind me why I love this work so much.

When we change the beliefs the subconscious is holding onto, the body can respond in incredible ways.

So grateful for this work and the freedom it can create.

Thank you Belief Coding… she’s now travel-sickness free and living her best life.

✨ What a beautiful evening we shared last night ✨

I’m still reflecting on the energy in the room at last night’s Goddess Circle.

A space filled with incredible women showing up for themselves… slowing down, reconnecting, sharing honestly, breathing deeply and allowing themselves to receive.

There was laughter, insight, calm, connection and that special kind of magic that happens when women gather in a safe and supportive space.

These circles always remind me how powerful it is when we pause from the busyness of life and simply allow ourselves to be held for a while.

Thank you to every woman who came and contributed to such a beautiful evening 🤍

Next month we’re doing something a little different…

Every fourth circle in The Goddess Series becomes something more.

Longer.
Deeper.
More transformational.

On Sunday 19th April (5.30–8.30pm) we’ll be gathering for the Goddess Retreat Party - an expanded evening including Breakthrough Breathwork, cacao ceremony, embodiment practices, sound healing and connection.

It’s a really special experience and I’m so excited to hold this space for you all.

A beautiful reminder of the power that exists when women support, uplift and champion one another.

When women gather with open hearts, something powerful happens.
Connection grows. Confidence rises. Healing begins.

And when women support each other rather than compete, that energy doesn’t just change our own lives… it ripples out into families, communities, and the wider world.

There is something incredibly powerful about women coming together.

Not to compete.
Not to perform.
But simply to be real, to connect and to support each other.

I offer private sister circles for groups of friends who would love a beautiful evening of connection, reflection and gentle healing together.

These gatherings can include things like journalling, sharing, breathwork, cacao, guided meditation, sound healing and space to release whatever feels heavy.

It’s a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself and each other, and create a truly meaningful evening together.
