There’s a real sense of the seasons changing across the grounds here at Charnock Richard Crematorium . After some very wet months , the gardens are finally beginning to dry out . ☀️

The magnolia and apple blossom are blooming- buds are appearing everywhere new growth is gradually bringing the grounds back to life.

Everyone is always welcome to spend time in the gardens and if you want to pop in ,our memorial consultant Alison is available and would be very happy to help with any questions. You may want to ask what can I have ? , where is available, what plots do you do ? Please call in and ask away .!

💜 When people think of a crematorium, it often brings quieter thoughts.
Not just about loss, but about where the people we love finally rest.

💜It's a place tied to letting go, gently and gradually.
From there, loved ones can be laid to rest in many ways, each shaped by what feels right to those left behind.

💜Some find comfort in having a place to visit— a private garden, a niche, a small marked space where memories can settle and grief can pause for a moment.
💜Others choose to scatter ashes somewhere meaningful,
It can feel less like leaving someone behind and more like returning them to the world they loved.

💜For some, keeping ashes close brings peace
a quiet presence at home,
a reminder woven into everyday life rather than set apart from it.

🌿There are also gentler, living ways of remembering:
a tree planted, a garden tended,
a simple act that allows life to continue while memory remains.

💖Thinking about a crematorium, then, isn't only about an ending.
It's about care.
About choosing a resting place that feels kind,
and finding a way to hold on while still learning how to let go.💖

Spring colour doesn’t just brighten up a space it lifts a place that has felt still and quiet . Bees are returning, birdsong is heard , even our fish are rising to the surface and the spring sunshine makes them shine .
You are welcome to take a seat and reflect or wander through our gardens taking in all this new season has to offer.
If you are contemplating having a memorial here then please come and see the grounds with no pressures . Our memorial consultant Alison will be happy to answer any questions (it is said that she makes a good brew too ) .
You can give her a call on 01257 230 976 email at charnockrichard.memorialoffice@thecmg.co.uk or knock on and have her put the kettle on.
