Welcome everyone!
Welcome to Corinna Grace Veterinary Physiotherapist’s brand-new page! I would just like to introduce myself and my new venture.
I am a chartered physiotherapist and an ACPAT Veterinary Physiotherapist, treating both animals and humans! Gaining qualifications in a BSc (hons) Equine Science and Management (physiology) and a BSc (hons) in Human Physiotherapy as well as completing a Postgraduate degree in Animal Physiotherapy with a Master’s well underway! Meaning your beloved companions are in the best of hands.
So what is Physiotherapy?...
Physiotherapy uses a holistic approach to restore and maintain mobility, function, independence and performance in the animal, to improve their overall health and wellbeing and giving them the best quality of life possible. Physiotherapists will aim at assessing, treating and rehabilitating animals from injury to pre- or post-surgery from musculoskeletal and/or neurological conditions, whilst also reducing pain.
So to break it down further, Physiotherapy can help with…
Performance: The prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in the ridden horse and working or competition dog as well as our faithful companion dog!
Pre- and Post-surgery: The rehabilitation of animals with orthopaedic and/or neurological conditions.
Quality of Life: Improving the animal’s quality of life with degenerative conditions such as arthritis.
If you feel that physiotherapy is what your animal needs, then look no further and please don’t hesitate to contact!
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and a Category A member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy. I am also fully insured to give you peace of mind needed for you and your animals.
