✨ Restless Leg Syndrome — Why It Happens & How I Help Ease It ✨
Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) can be incredibly frustrating. That crawling, buzzing, twitchy feeling in the legs… the urge to move constantly… the cramps that hit out of nowhere. It can keep you awake at night, limit how far you can walk, and make sitting still at work feel impossible.
The good news? There are ways to manage it — and in my sessions I use a combination of compression boots and targeted massage to help calm the legs and reduce symptoms.
🦵 How Compression Boots Help:
Compression therapy applies rhythmic pressure up and down the legs to improve circulation, reduce the build-up of metabolic waste, ease that “creepy-crawly” sensation, calm down twitching, and reduce cramping or heaviness. Many clients say their legs feel lighter and more settled after just one session.
💆♀️ How Massage Helps:
Massage releases tension through the calves, hamstrings and glutes, improves blood flow, reduces tightness that can worsen RLS sensations, calms the nervous system and improves overall leg comfort and mobility. Paired with compression therapy, it’s a powerful way to reduce that restless feeling.
🛠️ My Approach:
When someone comes in with RLS, I use compression boots to reset circulation, follow with targeted massage to release tension, and then give personalised guidance around hydration, magnesium, movement and daily habits to help keep symptoms under control. No two people experience RLS the same, so every treatment plan is tailored to the individual.
If RLS is wearing you down, you don’t have to just “put up with it.”
