Here is what Jo has to say about Slimming World and her Slimming World group.

SW has made a massive difference in my life in losing weight, following the food optimised plan has made my life healthier by putting my Type 2 Diabetes into remission, it has made me more confident and having to go shopping for new clothes was a wonderful feeling and to start swimming lessons before my weight loss I never even looked at a swimming costume. Lots more energy to run around after the grandchildren.
Going to group you are amongst others on their journeys and it’s a fabulous support network. It’s a great place for new ideas and recipes along with Jo who is so supportive and there is no judgement.

Leona joined our lovely Saturday morning group just over 12 months ago.. She is now over 5 stone lighter in that time.
Here is what Leona says about her weight loss journey..

In 2025, I lost over 5 stone after joining the Chorley Slimming World Group. Although I was apprehensive about attending on my own, I was warmly welcomed by a friendly group who immediately put me at ease. The group offers far more than weekly weigh-ins, the ongoing support, shared stories, and recipe ideas have made this lifestyle change achievable and enjoyable. The plan itself is easy to follow and means you don’t have to overthink meals, which has made staying on track much simpler. I now look forward to attending each week to see the friends I have made and to stay motivated. My consultant is consistently supportive, offering practical guidance and advice based on her own lived experience on the plan. As a result, my health has significantly improved, my confidence has grown, and I feel incredible.

The support you’ll find at a Slimming World group is second-to-none. I should know – I lost 9 stone before becoming a Consultant and helping others to lose weight too 💖!
