This year was very special to our lovely resident Olive. She attended her granddaughter’s wedding and gave a wonderful speech with the poem she had written. During our one to one today, she was so proud to show me all the wonderful photo’s from that special day, that she has now received in an album. Thank you for sharing the event with us Olive from both staff and residents. You truly looked beautiful and very proud.

Today we have enjoyed an “AUTUMN ADVENTURE “ here at Buckshaw.

Pumpkin picking is now a big trend and lots of fun so, we emulated this, placing pumpkins around our beautiful gardens for the residents to find 🎃
A great way to exercise and get fresh air!! A well deserved hot drink was then enjoyed at our final destination, the Summer house.
An interactive quiz ended our Autumn Adventure Social 🤔🧐🥰

Today was National New Friends Day, so we celebrated by getting all creative in making our very own personalised friendship bracelets,
to either gift to a special friend ,loved one or wear ourselves.
Our emphasis being on all FRIENDS TOGETHER wether old or new and doing something that we all enjoyed doing.
We also got into the spirit of Halloween and some of our lovely residents decorated some spooktacular biscuits.

We were honoured to host a celebration party of 11 years of success for a local company on Buckshaw called “Marvel at everything”

They provided a local singer called Johnny who entertained our residents with his amazing voice and we all enjoyed and tucked into a lovely cake.
We would like to thank Marvel for choosing us to share in their special day and we wish them every success for the future .
