Today our residents tried out a new game. The “SQUARE” grid word challenge! Two teams played against each other, placing one letter at a time into the grid. The aim was to make as many words up as possible, vertically, horizontally or diagonally. It certainly challenged us and made us think! All enjoyed with some “SQUARE’ crisp of course 🤔😍😋

1st Match, a very close, challenging game 9 all, but then ……..the Reds (England)Won the final point 🤗 👏👏

2nd Match, a clean sweep by the reds 13 to 0 🥳👏

What a wonderful afternoon, spending quality time together in our beautiful garden. We tried samples of Mint, Chives, Nasturtium flowers and Nasturtium leaves, learning all about their nutritional benefits, all grown in our sensory garden.
Our entry for the “Hica in Bloom” has now been through the first round of judging, so are waiting with anticipation to see if we have made it through to the final 🤗
We have introduced a “Friendship Bench“ and also encouraging everyone to get involved with the BIG Butterfly Count 🦋 a great way to appreciate the flowers, nature and our refurbished summer house 🌻🌼🦋☀️

🦋The Big Butterfly Count 🦋 Friday 18th July to 10th August

A nationwide citizen science survey aimed at helping to assess the health of the environment. Yesterday we watched a small video clip all about Butterfly Conservation and then spent some time in our beautiful garden.

What better way to encourage our residents to enjoy our now complete garden, for the Hica in Bloom Competition. To simply sit, relax and enjoy looking out for butterflies in our beautiful surroundings 🌻🌼🌹🦋
