What an afternoon we have had with Elvis 🕺🏼🎼🎤

Singing,dancing and lots of laughs 🎤🕺🏼

Our wonderful Jill had a dance with Elvis at every opportunity and some of the ladies were even lucky to be gifted a scarf from Elvis 😃

🇬🇧VE Day 80years celebrations🇬🇧

Residents and staff marked this memorable moment of 80years since Winston Churchill announced the end of the war in Europe.

We enjoyed listening to everyone’s personal stories and memories of their experiences and stories they experienced and passed down from their loved ones.

🎊We held our own street party with lots of food and music and everyone celebrated together🎉

For lunch our chef took us back in time and made war times foods using only ingredients that would have been available at the time of the war🥚🥛🥔🥧

Cakes,scones,cheesecakes,pizza bases and toppings and a whole lot more.🍕🧁

They have already enjoyed tucking into the cakes this afternoon 🍰

Here’s a little look at some more of the activities our residents have been doing. 👩🏼‍🍳🧁🍪👨🏻‍🍳

Residents have really been enjoying the baking classes.

They made their own cup cakes and once cooled they decorated them, they also took part in biscuit decorating using lots of different colours of icing and sprinkles. We had some brilliant designs 🐥🌸🐰🌼🦆

We also had an afternoon of freestyle painting were residents were free to express themselves in their art 🎨🖌
