K Therapies - NLP & holistic treatments

K Therapies - NLP & holistic treatments Qualified in Reiki, Massage, NLP and Reflexology, based at the Harmony Hub, Chorley After a short while I was introduced to reiki. It was then I discovered NLP.

I started K Therapies offering massage therapy to help people with muscluar aches, pains and tension. This went perfectly hand in hand with massage as I believe physical tension isnt just physical, it has attachment to emotions and feelings eg stress, tiredness etc. I noticed people would often open up about stresses and problems as they were having a massage, and as much the physical treatment could so much and with a boost of reiki healing, I still felt like my clients weren't getting all the help they could. Initially it helped me learn a little about myself and how I viewed the world around me. As I delved deeper into NLP I was unknowingly sharing some of what I'd learnt with my clients and helping them a little more than just physically and energetically. This lead me to learn more NLP and I did 2 intensive courses to learn more. This was so I could share more with my clients, however I learnt more about me and once I had completed the second course and became an NLP practitioner. I didnt share much NLP this time round ans stuck to the little bits I was happy sharing. After a year I changed that mindset and began sharing more and more with my clients. This lead me to holding full NLP sessions. If you are interested any of the treatments I offer please in get touch either via messenger within this page or my mobile number

After some of the comments on here recently about sleep and midlife, I’ve been thinking about creating a small online session where we can come together and explore these things a little more.

Things like:
• why sleep often changes during menopause
• how hormones affect stress and energy
• simple things that may help support better sleep

Nothing complicated — just a relaxed space to share experiences and learn a little.

Before I organise it, I’d love to know if this would be helpful.
Would you be interested in joining something like that if I ran it?

This year I decided it would a year for me. I would make time for me, rest when needed, improve my diet and health and do a little more for me.

This leads to me having a day off. Next Wednesday l, me and Honey will be off for a walk somewhere nice, I'll find somewhere lovely for a brew and watch the world go by, while Honey sleeps off zoomies.

I'm taking a day to clear the cobwebs, fill my lungs with fresh air and enjoy a meal I haven't made and where I dont need to wash up afterwards.

I cant preach at you to step out of busy lives and slow down, not worry about the day to day stuff, be present and put yourself first if I dont do the same. So next Wednesday will be my day.

I will be replying to messages and calls, just not as quickly.

So, if you are able to take just and an hour or so out of your day, to slow down, get a change of scenery and get some fresh air and, I strongly suggest you. Everyone needs a mini reset

For those who may be new to my page, I'm Kelly, mum to 1 daughter, 1 dog and 1 cat. The dog sometimes accompanies me to work and its great in treatments. She does have a tendency to snore or fart. Or both! 😳

I have been at the Harmony Hub since its very creation nearly 11 years ago. I was already qualified in massage and have since become a reiki master, and NLP practitioner, an EFT practitioner, reflexologist and more recently, I trained in lymphatic drainage massage.

With all this under my holistic tool belt, you don't just get one treatment, you get a mix that's complimentary to you. Got bad neck? I'll massage the neck and shoulders whilst also gently enquiring about life to see if its a physical issue or a mental or emotional issue (yep, these things are linked) and the treatment and or aftercare is then tailored to suit.

After nearly 14 years of offering therapies, I've picked up things along the way that compliment what I do and I add those things in too if needed.

It isn't a one size fits all attitude and if I don't believe I cant help, I will refer or pass on information for another therapist or even a group, that can better help.

If you want to know more about what I do or what the Harmony Hub offers, let me know and I'll happily help

The last few posts about sleep and menopause have started some really interesting conversations with women who have problems with sleep and energy.

So many of us seem to experience similar things — its the waking around 2–3am, the restless nights, or simply not feeling refreshed in the morning like we used to do.

It’s made me think how little we actually talk properly about these changes, even though they’re incredibly common during perimenopause and menopause.

Sleep affects everything — our energy, mood, focus and overall wellbeing — so it feels like an important conversation to have.

So let me know what’s has been the one biggest change in your sleep during midlife? Is it falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early? Or maybe its something else? Let me know

One thing many women notice during midlife is that their energy changes.

You might feel:

• more tired than usual
• overwhelmed more easily
• emotionally stretched between work, family and life responsibilities

Midlife can be a busy and sometimes challenging stage of life, and ù?

More rest?
More support?
More time for yourself?

Small daily habits that support your mind and body can make a big difference to how you feel.

Midlife isn’t the end of feeling good — it can actually be the beginning of a reset.

What helps you restore your energy when life feels busy?

I’ve had a number of conversations recently about how sleep can change during midlife.
And with today being national sleep day, what better day to to talk sleep and midlife.

So many women mention waking in the night — often around 2 or 3am — and then lying there unable to get back to sleep. Or like me, sleep can just feel broken throughout the night, leaving you waking up feeling exhausted.

It’s something I’ve become really interested in learning more about, because hormone changes during menopause can affect our sleep patterns, stress levels and overall energy. And of course, the lack of sleep can create more stress… so it can sometimes feel like a bit of a cycle.

I’m discovering that small things can sometimes help support better sleep, such as:

• having a gentle wind-down routine in the evening
• keeping the bedroom a little cooler
• eating in a way that supports steady energy in the evening
• simple breathing or relaxation before bed

Sleep plays such a big role in how we feel the next day, yet it’s something many women quietly struggle with during this stage of life.

What changes have you noticed in your sleep in recent years?

Morning musings (take 2)

So I was writing a lovely post about today being national sleep day and then the magic of a crap app killed the app and lost post 🤬

So I start again with what bits I remember.

Most of the time, I go to bed about 9pm, making a phone free hour. That's so there's no bluelight keeping my eyes and brain in wakey wakey mode. I also read, I love a good book even if they have a tendency to induce sleep quite quickly. As long as I dont lose my page, win win. Having that night time routine cuts out the doom scrolling and the TV binging, which helps for better sleep.

But, did you know, its the waking hour stuff that helps too? Drinking water first thing gentle wakes the body up. Gentle use of energy keeps you more awake through the day, no peaks and dips of energy, so that as the light changes, your circadian rhythm does its things. Keeping hydrated throughout the day also boosts energy

Eating healthy balanced meals helps, no sugar rush and crashes to deplete energy. Again helping you ease through to night time and gently allows the tiredness to come in when needed.

Being active. This is literally a case of create energy to keep energy. This way you naturally power your way through the day and will be naturally tired at the end of day, when your body needs to recuperate and rest.

So, today as you wake up and read the morning musings, thinking about going back to sleep 😴 AFTER reading the post and having a energy filled day 😊

Time for a little Throwback Thursday.

This is how my old therapy room at the old Hub used to be. It was a quirky and lovely little room.
Its shape made warming the room a pain but once it was warm it was cosy.

I miss the view of the park (past the view of the car park) and my view in the new Hub room is similar, once I look past the bustle of Chorley, I see Healy Nab and Winter Hill.

What memories do you have of the old therapy room?

Reflexology is like a full body massage for the entire body, inside and out, but done through just the feet, ankles and lower legs.
It can help with:-
🟡 backache
🟡 sciatica
🟡 digestive issues
🟡 relaxation
🟡 sleep
🟡 and sinus problems
When pressure is applied to the reflex points, it works directly on the area within the body, releasing tension and easing aches
For example, the sinuses can be relieved by working reflex points along the toes. This then eases any discomfort in and around your sinuses. Perfect if you are struggling with hay-fever or summer sniffles.
Reflexology available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

For many women nearing or in their midlife, they start to notice changes they weren’t expecting.

Sleep becomes lighter or more broken.
Energy isn’t quite the same as it used to be.
And emotions can sometimes feel a little closer to the surface.

If you’ve experienced this, you’re not alone.

Hormone changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect sleep, mood, and energy levels in ways that often surprise us.

The good news is that small changes in how we care for ourselves — how we eat, rest, and manage stress — can make a meaningful difference.

Going through this myself, I have an interest in learning more about simple ways women can support their wellbeing during midlife, and I’ll be sharing some ideas here over the coming weeks.

If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to know:

What has changed most for you in midlife so far?
Sleep, energy, mood… or something else?
