Unfortunately our clinical system is currently down and has been most of the day. As a result we have been unable to process any repeat prescriptions or other admin requests. These will all be actioned on Monday when the system is back up and running. As always thank you for your patience.

♻️ 💚 Our Volunteers will be available this Wednesday 3rd December from 10 o’clock to take any donations you may have and to provide you with anything you may need. We have some equipment in stock including walking frames, seat raisers, toilet set raisers, commodes, side tables on wheels.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the people who generously supported our coffee and cake morning alongside the flu clinic on 4th October and also those who bought raffle tickets throughout the month of October with the chance to win some amazing hampers and prizes. We raised an amazing £3090 which has been split between two amazing charities – Breast Cancer Now and The Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The raffle was drawn on 30th October and the winning numbers are displayed below – all have now claimed their amazing prizes. We would also like to thank a few local businesses who kindly donated prizes – Brindle Cuckoo Gin Distillery, Little Hong Kong/Dressers Arms, Cake Kitchen (Lostock hall), Everau (Australia) and Arpenter. 🥳🤩.

🌿 A Huge Thank You to FORJD! 🌿

If you haven't already spotted it, we’re delighted to share that our Wellbeing Garden has a beautiful new addition - a stunning sculpture generously donated by FORJD, a talented local team of artisans based in Lower Darwen, Lancashire.

Many of you may already be familiar with their incredible work. FORJD have created meaningful and memorable pieces which are already on display in our local hospitals:
🌼 The Memorial Garden at Royal Preston Hospital
🌼 The Rosemere Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital
🌼 The Memorial Garden at Chorley Hospital

Their craftsmanship adds calm and reflection in the spaces they are placed and we’re truly grateful to have one of their creations in our own garden space for staff, patients and visitors to enjoy for years to come.

We are immensely proud of our very own Dr Moitra and the work she does for UK Med. She is an extremely brave lady. Here is an article about her time volunteering in Gaza 🌟

Her Palestinian healthcare colleagues had lost weight, medication was being rationed and kites once flown in the sky by children are now nowhere to be seen. These are just some of the changes a Lancashire-based GP saw on her third humanitarian trip to war-torn Gaza.
