We’re proud to share more information about two of our incredible guest speakers whose stories of strength and recovery will leave a lasting impact:
⚽ Danielle Gibbons – Former Liverpool FC women’s goalkeeper
At the height of her professional football career, Danielle was diagnosed with a brain tumour - a life-altering moment that tested her physically and mentally. After undergoing surgery and facing the challenges of recovery, Danielle emerged stronger and more determined than ever.
She’s now sharing her journey in her newly published book:

👮♀️ Beck – Mental health advocate and founder of Strength In Struggles (S.I.S.).
Beck served 21 years as a frontline police officer, but her journey took a dramatic turn after a prescribed drug-induced psychotic episode led to a mental health crisis, her own arrest, and a 28-day stay in a psychiatric unit. Despite enduring trauma and stigma, Beck returned to the force for another 15 years, determined to make a difference.
Her self-published book, Police to Paranoia, details her experience and recovery — and has now been adapted into a stage play, Silent Approach, touring Lancashire, Manchester, and London this autumn.
Through her organisation S.I.S. (Strength In Struggles), Beck now supports others through peer groups, well-being walks, and coaching. She’s a passionate advocate for mental health, PTSD awareness, and recovery - speaking at universities, appearing on podcasts, and working with MIND.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 🥰
