Direct Cremation

Yesterday we received some heartwarming feedback from a client who said our team "stood out from the rest".

Unbeknown to us a family member attended the crematorium, awaiting our arrival for his grandmothers unattended funeral service. Whilst he was waiting, he witnessed multiple transit vans arriving at the crematorium to proceed with direct cremations. He was horrified by what he saw and was so worried that his grandmother would arrive the same way. When the hearse arrived, he asked our funeral director in anticipation if his grandmother was in the hearse. We paused for a moment so he could have time with her before we continued.

We want to reassure our families that we treat those we care for exactly the same regardless of their funeral wishes.

Our direct cremations are attended by a Funeral Director and one or two members of staff. We convey your loved one to the Crematorium of their choice, in a Rolls Royce Hearse, we enter the chapel with them, we place their coffin on the catafalque, we step back and bow to the coffin, our funeral director will say a few words and then the curtains will close.

Direct does not mean done without care, dignity and respect.
