⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️

I have been thinking about posting for a while with some figures that people may not believe, these figures are testament to the work we are doing at JustTalk. It’s going to be a long post, I do apologise to those who struggle with maintaining attention but I believe these figures need to be known.

In Chorley, 14 su***des per 100,000 people are registered. In England the average su***de rate is 2.5 per 100,000 people. Chorleys su***de rate of 14.8% is significantly higher.

Su***de is one of the leading causes of death in Chorley for males under 50.

In Lancashire between 2021-2023 there has been 458 deaths registered by cause of su***de, of these 345 were male and 113 were females.

With figures so staggering, and the data available being limited to previous years, this calls out for change.

That’s why JustTalk was created, there are so many individuals struggling in life feeling like there is no other solution but to end their own lives. We want to challenge this and make a change, Real People. Real Support. Just Talk.

At JustTalk you matter, and we care. Together we can promote kindness because do you ever truly know what struggles someone is going through in their life?

Following on from yesterday's morning video, we found Nigel!

Despite some of the negative comments around the last content featuring Nigel, we have developed a soft spot for him and have decided to continue to support him in a reasonable manner.

If there is ANYONE out there that can help us arrange to expedite getting him into detox and get him back into a housing situation we would love to have a conversation. After spending some time with him it is quite obvious he has mental health issues, his only crutch is alcohol and we are now more aware of his personal situation. He knows he has a problem and tell us he wants to change so let's give him the opportunity.....
