We are based in croston, PR26
🖤FULL TIME/PART TIME FUNERAL GROOM🖤
This role will consist of, but not limited to:
-general yard duties(mucking out, loading/unloading horse walker, haying, feeding etc)
-prepping the wagons for funerals
-harnessing/unharnessing the horses (can be taught if necessary)
-assisting funeral directors
-assisting the driver with the horses
-prepping horses for funerals (plaiting manes tails and bathing)
MUST BE:
-experienced around horses!
-be a minimum of 17 years old
-be hardworking & willing to take instruction
-be competent around horses
-be willing to work weekends when needed
-a driving licence would be preferred but not essential.
-able to work very flexible hours to meet the needs of the business
Full training and guidance will be given where necessary
🖤FULL TIME YARD STAFF🖤
Please don’t apply if you do not feel your capable of mucking out, loading and unloading the walker and general needs for 20 horses per day to an exceptionally high standard
You will be expected to undertake general yard duties - mucking out, haying, making up feeds, putting horses on/off the walker and generally keeping yard clean & tidy.
MUST be self motivated, hardworking, willing to take instruction & competent around fit working horses.
Must be minimum of 17 years old.
General hours are roughly 8am-4pm
🖤CARRIAGE MASTER🖤
This role consists of the majority of the general duties of a funeral groom but can also drive pairs of horses and load and unload hearses on and off wagons (can be taught how to load and unload)
Driving a 7.5t horse box or above would be a bonus but not essential
If you are experienced in driving single and willing to learn this is also a possibility to be taught how to drive pairs
Must be a competent honest and trust worthy person as the welfare of our horses comes first and you would eventually be able to take our horses out on funerals
The salary on all aspects of the job would be decided depending on experience
Everybody who seems fit for the job which they applied for will be given an unpaid trial date which suits both us and yourselves for you to get a feel for what the job entails day to day
